  1. Some pictures to show everyone what they missed.
  2. I find it difficult to believe Se7en folks don't want to go to a picnic. Especially as it is in the heart of Se7en country.
  3. Is anyone else going to the 25th Annual Classics on the James Sunday, September 20, 2009 Brown's Island in Richmond, Virginia? http://cvbcc.com/classics/classics2009.htm There are usually a few Lotus & Se7ens in attendance. We will be bringing our Seven. I need to do some polishing before we load up. Hopefully it won't be as hot as it was last year. We had to bail out and visit the museum across the street in order to get cool. I would like to attend some of the Saturday events this year. The tour of the Moss Motors warehouse on Saturday should be interesting. We will be going to McGovern's picnic on Saturday and this show on Sunday.
  4. Is anyone else going to McGovern's picnic this weekend? We will be going. Taking the M100 again since it is a 4 hour ride. It is always a good time. Kids play in the pool. People bring lots of goodies. Sure you have to try and ignore the Italian exotics and a Porsche or two but mostly its Lotus and odd British stuff. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f110/pals-event-pals-en-mass-mcgoverns-sept-19-a-77151/
  5. To those who don't know Feffman he has been an enthusiastic Lotus owner (especially Esprit). He has done a lot of volunteer work for various car events. If these events are anything like his previous events they will be a lot of fun and good value.
  6. Note the wind buffeting raising up the legs of his shorts. Needs a bit more aero control.
  7. The people at The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum are a great bunch. The museum is a giant step above what passes for the average car or motorcycle museum. Every mortorcycle or Lotus enthuasisats should visit. They were excellent hosts at LOG 29.
  8. We all forgot to mention passing the horse & buggies. Because I was at the rear of the line I got to see the faces of the kids as they pointed at the cars. I don't think of WV as an Amish or Mennonite area but it is. I guess it is as exciting for little kids to see Se7ens and an M100 as it is for a big kid like me to see horse and buggy (there was even a fully enclosed 2 horse rig). At next year's LOG in Gettysburg we will see more horse drawn wagons. I guess as long as we keep the noise down and give them plenty of room the horses will be happy.
  9. Lets see: 1 - speed blur 2 - slow driver in a blue corvette 3 - excellent doughnuts 4 - a couple of cool guys 5 - looks like I felt when I finally got home
  10. A few photos
  11. It was Lotus brand No arguments about Caterham, Birkin, Ultralight... being better. Glad to hear you are doing well. It would have been fun to have you along.
  12. Horrible waves of rain here. Glad we missed that.
  13. Very nice color combination. Good luck.
  14. It was awesome to see people pull over to give us a good run in the twisties. Except for the stinken corvettes in the way. Sorry Jack & Mazda, both vette owners. Thanks WV drivers. Still recovering, too much sun & vodka. Drove about 800 miles all but about 200 top down. Tough to keep up with those two in the M100. I had the tires howling once which is a bit unnerving given the drop offs in the area. It was nice to cheat and turn on the A/C or heat once and a while. It was great to meet Jack & Jen. Mazda was a great host.
  15. Just back and sitting down. Only 3 cars and 5 people but a great time. It was tough keeping up but it was fun to try.
  16. We will meet up with the group at either Point B or C. It is about 4 hours to "C" for us.
  17. Ya, a guess I'll have to bring her.
  18. A great event. The video opens with the two best car. IMHO
  19. Completely different car but I went from Porterfield to Pagids in the M100 and it transformed the car. Porterfield were better for auto-X after the first hard application but the Pagids are much better for most of my driving.
  20. Ya Hoo! The house is a mess and smells of paint (fixing up my computer, ham radio, TV room) it will be great to get out for a weekend.

    Log 30

Later this month there will be a LOG 30 committee meeting at McGovern's picnic. If anyone is interested in helping out with LOG this will be a good time check out the support group. Putting on a LOG is a lot of work but it is fun and very rewarding.
  22. This is a very interesting thread. How is the stability of the cars at top speed. I have to hold my elbows into my side as the car becomes darty. 1958 7 S1.
