  1. :iagree: . . . . . . Yep.
  2. Chris, sorry to hear. Hope you're back on the road soon.
  3. Automoda, you should re-post that photo in the following thread; it's definitely worth some commentary: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=9287 Well, Z, there you have it. You should absolutely pull air from inside the car.
  4. I think it looks stunning! :hurray: . . . . .
  5. Richard, :bigear: rumor has it that all Seven owners who are currently running Ford engines in their cars are gradually making the switch to Blue Oval nose badges. Say it ain't so, Joe!!!! :ack: But seriously, it's YOUR car . . . . do what you want. Don’t let someone else’s opinion sway you. Well, all except for mine; my opinion should count. (Sorry, just taking the opportunity to practice arrogance and snobbery . . . . . . . contemplating buying a Porsche).
  6. Paul, Without trying to sound like I'm answering for Jackel, I think the DMV detoured the last chapter, at least temporarily.
  7. John, that's a very nice photo of a great looking car.
  8. Z, FWIW, I remember talking to Dennis Brunton about the very same thing when I was first building my car. His intake was under the dash and I wanted to do the same thing, but was concerned about noise . . . his answer was the same as mine . . . . . and he was right. BTW, here are a couple of old photos of Dennis's car from 'back in the day' when it was almost complete . . . . I guess I keep everything. :hat: Anyway, notice where the intake terminates.
  9. Gary, Just as you, I've never seen the real deal, only the adds in the back of KCM. Per the GBS web site, this is the contact info for their U.S. dealer: AMERICA: Brian Ball – BB Motorsports T: (303) 887-0754 E: bbmotorsports@comcast.net
  10. This link should take you to page 10; just start reading: :jester: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=421&highlight=badge&page=10
  11. Looking great, Z!!! Looking great! :hurray: As for mounting the air intake underneath the scuttle, you'll never hear it. And it's the most direct air intake path you can give your Storker. :jester: See mine: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=23107
  12. Martin, Scroll down to Race Car Rentals: http://www.motorsportranch.com/msr-track-rental.cfm Also, here is the link to Apex Driving Academy for the weekend of March 22: http://www.apexdrivingacademy.com/schedule.htm If nothing else, I might be able to get you a ride-along with an instructor.

    My ADD

I'd call that a 'good' move on.

    My ADD

The Shredder, aye? Looks like a beast! . . . . . . Can you have your connection in Dallas build some aluminum fenders for one of these things? You know how much I like fancy aluminum fenders. :jester:
  15. Martin, If you can make it out, I'll be at MSR Cresson on March 22; doing a track day with Apex Driving Academy. I'll have my family with me (wife, son (10) and daughter (8). :seeya: Shane
  16. I think you should add that to your list and omit the tire wall: :jester:
  17. :iagree: Online is good for those I'm-gonna-sit-down-and-surf-the-internet-after-a-shower moments, but I do like a good hard copy that I can thumb through, ear mark pages, get dirty and greasy and eventually allow to collect dust in the corner along with the 50 or so other hard copies that I refuse to throw away.
  18. . . . . . . . :jester:
  19. Yep, the good old days. Then in steps Hollywood to plant the seed and help turn the tide of male dominance and female subservience . . . . . :dupe:
  20. SCH, Try this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-132448-Triumph-Stub-Axle-/260708354398 or: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-132448 :smash:
  21. NVP66S, Looking over your build file, I'd say you have quite a bit to share and contribute. Have you seen Jackel's Project Beatress 99 Birkin build file with its 30K-plus hits? http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=6935 Besides, now you got some s'plain'n to do about your use of wooden cams :jester: and how you talked your wife into letting you use the oven for powder coat.
  22. Your build is coming along nicely! :smash: Do you have a build file hidden somewhere so onlookers and prospective Seven owners can enjoy?
  23. Hey, subtle, Unfortunately, I have no British accent (probably best for all); just a southern drawl along with a propensity toward humor. I cringe to think at how much worse my butchering of the Kings English would be if I used a faux British accent (try picturing Larry The Cable Guy having tea with the Queen Mother). :ack: However, I am in the middle of producing my very on 'Storker' off-road video series; it's going to replace Duck Dynasty on A&E. :iamwithstupid: I'm just having a little trouble working out a few turning radius issues with the 35” Super Swampers. :jester: As for the Oakland Racer, great video. While I love Sevens and all they are capable of and represent, I'll always have a place in my heart for the old school stuff; street rods, roadsters, rat rods, etc. Here's a few photos of a 1926 track roadster I built back in 2003-2005 (inspired by cars such as the Oakland Racer); what I started with and what I ended up with. The car (post ownership) actually placed second in class in the Oakland Grand National Roadster not long after I sold it and is now enjoying a good life in Redding, CA.
  24. NVP66S, Good looking trailer. Are You sure you're not towing with the Miata so you can have the envious choice of deciding which car to drive once at the track?
  25. Bill, I've called twice since your first mention of being able to buy factory direct. So far, I've not been able to convince ATC of the 'error of their ways'.
