  1. The sounds heard during shifting are the face-plated gears in the tranny. It's loud and klunky (is that a word?), but it's a different animal vs. a stock TKO . . . well pleased.
  2. My first thought is to contact PA DMV and see if they can assist with the missing year; maybe a replacement title with the year which can then be used in GA? Previous owner also may be of assistance . . . Just a thought.
  3. I bet your'e right . . . I've taken up cheese grating since returning home. :jester:
  4. I'd like to extend a special thanks to Ryan Li of the North Texas Lotus Club for taking the time to come out and shoot a few pics; that's his awesome Isotope Green Exige parked next to my car.
  5. In session six, I did end up passing all the cars in my group; even put a full lap on three of them. Knowing how hard I had to drive to get a 1:22, my hat is definitely off to you for your 1:19!:hurray: I think those aluminum fenders you sold me are slowing me down! :smilielol5:
  6. My camera is the Replay HD1080. Great camera, but sound quality is somewhat lacking. One would think with today's technological advances, a camera could be built (and affordable) with good built-in sound quality. I had an external mic and played with various locations in the car prior to the Cresson event, but no matter where I put the mic, sound quality was poor at best. I even used a wind sock and had the mic out of the slip stream. I tried a new location for Cresson; under-dash, yet untested. But, as stated in an earlier post, I forgot to turn on the mic . . . next time. :willy_nilly:
  7. Loren, Pretty good run group that day (lots of cars on the track; anywhere from eleven to eighteen cars per session). My best estimated time for the day was around 1:22. Do you have any videos with overlay data?
  8. Wait!!! . . . I needed 'two' dozen eggs!!! :driving::auto:
  9. Martin, Congradulations on 'pulling the trigger'! Sevens are like the Hotel California . . . you can check out, but you can never leave; once a Seven owner, always a Seven enthusiast. :seeya: :auto:
  10. Pictures! Details! :lurk:
  11. Yeap!
  12. Robert, Welcome to the club. These cars are some of the most fun you can ever have behind the wheel of an automobile. And you will enjoy making changes/improvements to make it your own. I don't know what's going on with the hood, but I sure do like it; looks like the exhaust from a P-51. Shane :seeya:
  13. I was driving me arse off! :driving:
  14. Track configuration for the day was the 1.7 mi course, run ccw. There are four passing zones and no really long straights; perfect track for a Seven. My top speed for the day was in the neighborhood of 135mph, just prior to entering turn 2. The photo below depicts the track layout with the passing zones highlighted. All the turns are numbered in relation to the 3.1 mi setup. The 1.7 mi course was the original track for Cresson; all turns have good ole’ Western names. Also, here’s the link for MSR Cresson.
  15. Track day at MSR Cresson with Apex Driving Academy, 06/01/13. Session 6 of 6.
  16. I've been there, not in a Seven, but in a Toyota Tacoma I used to own. I had just left from having my tires and wheels 'professionally' balanced and rotated (came with the purchase of the new tires). By the time I stopped, I was literally one thread away from losing the wheel. :svengo:
  17. Just received a response: three photos dating back to 2004 (nine years old) same car info as posted on the link.
  18. I requested photos (hopefully, current :ack:) and info, but haven't received a response as of today.
  19. I want one.
  20. Ah, yeah . . . good luck with that. The only thing that's constant in life is change . . . especially in the life of folks who are passionate about their cars. She's a real beauty, Gale.
  21. Mike Bearden, who lives a two-hour drive north of me just put his Birkin up for sale. It's in your price range; might want to take a look: http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=8619 X :seeya:
  22. Here’s a good thread to start with. http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=8487

  24. I'm really liking that blue and aluminum combo; looks great!
  25. John, based on his calculations using rpm, tire diameter and gearing, was hitting in excess or 170mph on the straight. I've watched some of the other videos from other cars that were running in that group (using data overlay) and the videos definitlely confirm, in my mind, the John was running at 170 plus on the straight. Here's one of those videos with the yellow Mustang hitting 176mph just prior to braking:
