Wew! I'm glad. Kinda felt like I was crossing a line, but the paint really is COOL.
-
squarefour, Sorry, but the way-over-the-top ‘cool’ factor of your car was begging me to do this. I hope you take this as the compliment it’s meant to be. If you don’t like it, I’ll make apologies now and gladly remove the post. :seeya: X

squarefour, First thing, we are going to change your user name to hip7dude. Man, I can't look at this thing without thinking of Woodstock or hearing songs like White Rabbit and Light My Fire playing in the background. Jimi would have owned one and Janis would be proud. :hurray::cheers::hurray: X

:hurray: . . . simply at a loss for words . . . awesome . . . :hurray:

John, Great photos of an awesome car. Thanks for sharing with all. Shane
-
Awesome car, John! Can you also post a picture of your Osca18? :auto:

paulmom, Congratulations on the build. :hurray: I'm curious about the coil packs and how you are running ignition timing (I’m assuming the forward-mounted distributor is no more). X

Advice needed: is a Seven a good idea for me?

Well, six months into the relationship with your new exhaust, it will only sound better and you won't find it begging you for a reduction in capacity. -

subtlez28, Per our conversation, here are the pics of the adapter I'm using on the LS6. X

Duane, Zip ties; they work great. I'm not a big fan of cutting off the excess strap; I've been on the receiving end of having too short a harness. I like to option of additional adjustment, if needed. In fact, I've made some adjustments to the shoulder straps since those pics were taken (moved the shoulder harness three-bar slide to an area immediately behind the seat. Here's a couple of photos that shows the relocated three-bar slide as well as the zip-tied excess strap. Shane

Okay, guys (and gals), I just purchased a Replay XD1080. I'll be using this camera for the first time on Saturday at an HPDE at MSR Cresson. Any pointers on the use of this camera to get the most bang for the buck right off the bat? I'm all ears. :bigear: X

Advice needed: is a Seven a good idea for me?

Klasik, If you go to the Brunton factory, you should hook up with Mario Parker while in the area. Mario has a stalker with an LS V8. Mario is retired, has years of track and race experience, has tracked his Stalker and can give you an honest opinion on these cars. He lives on Longboat Key and keeps his Stalker in Tampa. If you want his contact info, send me a pm. My car has an LS6 with an est. 425hp at the flywheel (370rwhp on the dyno). 'Intoxicating' is a good term for defining the car's acceleration. Being form the South, I just prefer to say it 'goes like stink'. If you can live with the fact that A Stalker doesn't quite look at traditional as a Caterham or Birkin (and is a bit raw in comparison), you can buy ALL parts state-side. :flag: X For what it's worth, here is a not-so-good photo of my somewhat non-traditional Stalker. In the photo, I've removed the 17" rolling stock and replaced them with 15 inchers and Avons for an upcoming HPDE at MSR Cresson. -

Something to think about. Several ‘car guys’ I know in the Little Rock area keep their cars at a mini storage facility. Another fellow Seven owner I know is co-owner with another automotive enthusiast in a building in an industrial area where they store and work on their cars (he lives in a high rise with garage parking only). There are several reasons for storing a car off property: no adequate storage at the Ponderosa; the insurance company requires that a‘specialty car’ be stored in an enclosed structure separate from the house (garage/shop not attached-not available); and gated security (in the case of a mini storage facility), just to list a few. If it’s an affordable option, keep the ‘all weather’ Cayman, purchase a Seven and keep it off property. When you feel the urge to get some wind in your hair, go get the Seven out and take it for a blat . . . But there’s still the issue of maintenance; and maintenance will be a part of Seven ownership. -
COLD PHOTO!!! :chillpill:

More HP in a car that already has nearly enough! Your killing me, B. I respectfully request a photo of all new toys with my drool, please.
