  1. Now that's gotta' hurt! :ack: Driver actually survived this!
  2. When I was stationed in Guam (dang, over 20 years ago) I had a beater 74 Mustang that I bought once I got there. The car was eat up with rust (salt air) and literally had no floor pans; I put plywood and cardboard over the 12”x12” holes. It rained there pretty much every day and I learned very quickly that, when I drove through standing water, to hold my feet up off of the floor (or lack of) long enough to allow the pedal area to fill up with water (tire spray—yep it was that strong) and drain back out. It was a quick process, sort of like a mini in-car tsunami. Wish I’d been smart enough to think of those ankle supports. :willy_nilly:
  3. And that's Okay. It's just that the older I've gotten, the more I've become a less-is-more kinda' guy when it comes to these types of cars. However, my Tundra does have a handy-dandy backup camera! :smash:
  4. WestTexasS2K, Sure would enjoy some more shots and details once you set it free. Also, just sent another Stalker owner your way; looking for fenders. :seeya:
  5. Locofinn, Very impressive craftsmanship! Are you sure this is your first build?
  6. Amen!! Minimalists rule!!! :hurray:
  7. Actually, we should ban both Idaho and Montana due to their borders bearing an uncanny resemblance to Alfred Hitchcock. And we all know how movies like Psycho and The Birds created a downward spiral in the American culture which has led to crime on an unparalleled scale and bla, bla, bla . . . :bs:
  8. I definitely do like the interior of this car; looks 'all business'! :hurray: How about sharing some more details about the build.
  9. #85 has been down for winter projects. Thought I'd share a couple of before/after photos betweeen July of 2012 and now. Most noticeable changes are wheels/tires, fenders and Brooklands. What isn't readily noticeable is the complete rewiring of the car (thanks for the challenge, Mike :ack:. Yes, I'm poking fun at you).
  10. The SP S1 is a well built car with SPs signature fit and finish. However, something you may want to take into consideration along with the idea of purchasing an S1 is the availability of parts on down the road. These cars were produced in limited number and haven't been in production for a few years now. Having said that, if I found one I liked and wanted, I'd get it and enjoy it. If you've got the itch, get the 'twitch' to go with it. As for the Honda, you could keep it for the days when you're feeling a bit tame. :driving:
  11. All this talk of burgers and sodas. Sorry, but made me think of this and had to post the link: :smash:
  12.
  13. iceberg1234, Congratulations on your purchase ! ! ! :cheers: :hurray::party::auto:
  14. Never even heard of R U Faster Than a Redneck . . . and I'm from the south!
  15. A purse that cost $150k . . . yeap, that makes all the sense in the world to me. :banghead: Maybe if I covered my seats in good ole' south Louisiana gater skin my car will become a chick magent and increase in value. Ummm hmmm. :bs:
  16. Hey, guys, The North Texas Lotus Club is hosting a track day at MSR Cresson in Cresson, TX on April 13th. I just spoke with Ryan Li and they are having a bit of an issue generating enough interest to support getting a group rate. I am planning on attending the event and would enjoy seeing some other seven-type cars on the track. If interested, here is the link for the event: http://www.lotuscars.us/newsletters/track-day-april-13-2013/ Shane :auto:
  17. Nicely done.
  18. Tried the email and received a delivery failure notice.
  19. Just sent you a couple of PMs.
  20. Me too: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=21170
  21. I think Obama’s problem is that he has never been behind the wheel of a seven. If he had, he would know how to brake hard in the face of tax hikes, cut the corner of economic crisis with sure-footedness and then come out ahead, leading us all—at full-throttle—down the fast lane to financial prosperity. Give him a seven . . . he can keep his @&%*$ hour. :cuss: :deadhorse:
  22. Looks sort of like something that would pal around with Lightning McQueen! :jester:
  23. I've driven/ridden in a handful of solid axle Birkins and owned an IRS Birkin. I now own my Stalker which has a solid axle . . . it's all in what you want. Sevens are like candy bars, they will all satisfy the sweet tooth; pick one.
  24. Beam me up, Scotty.
