  1. Jeff, Sorry to hear about your misfortune at Cresson. Glad you're getting the car back on the road . . . better, stronger. Once up and running, when will you be back at Cresson? We should try and do a track day together if possible. Shane
  2. Wow, on the alternator!
  3. johnh, Ditto on the 3M. Great stuff. I too have used it over the years with excellent 'long-term' results. And for best results, apply the adhesive to both surface areas (tunnel and carpet), allow the adhesive to become tacky and then stick the carpet to the tunnel. That should do it.
  4. Awesome, Skip! Love it!
  5. Klasik-69, Thanks for the thoughts about my daughter. As for now, we are still sitting on GO for NJMP. I spoke with Mike earlier today and brought him up to speed on our situation and the possibile scenarios we are facing at this time. We are still hoping for picc line removal in mid-to-late June and no returning complications after coming off of the antibiotics. Hopefully, we should know something definite in a couple of weeks regarding our 'for sure' being able to make the trip. Again, all is looking good so far.
  6. Mike and Tom, Thanks for the persistence in getting this lined out and working properly! Will look over all and get'r done today. Here's to July.
  7. Welcome aboard, JKerrigan . . . and good luck with the registration.
  8. This may not be of ANY help (comparing apples to oranges) . . . but . . . FWIW, I run a cheap paper filter from O'Reilly's on the vent valve of my fuel tank. I also run a the same filter on my PCV system (see photos below) and my differential breather. No fuel/oil smells emanating from the car. Again, just throwing this on the table for consideration. . . . . .
  9. Jackal, Good to see you back and pressing on.
  10. Any word on registration?
  11. Thanks, Michael . . . . .
  12. A quick update our daughter. Home health services came on Monday for a blood draw and a cleaning/redressing of the picc line. Lab results on Tuesday resulted in a continuing decline in sed rate and crp numbers. The trend was good enough to warrant NO followup doctor's visit this week in Little Rock. :hurray:
  13. Beautiful work.
  14. Seb, You might give these guys a try: http://www.taylor-race.com/
  15. Klasik-69, Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Daughter is progressing well. There are a couple of perimeters we are watching which indicate she is moving in the right direction. One is her Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (sed rate) and the other is her C-reactive protein (crp). The number value of both are trending downward (very good). The tie breaker for NJMP will be her picc line; traveling long distance with it will be too inconvenient. We are hopeful that she will be done by the end of June so she can enjoy her summer. Moving on with summer travel plans is an attempt at our house to press ahead with 'normal'.
  16. Not sure. I'll pick Scott's brain and see if I can find out.
  17. Mike, What ever became of the 5zigen wheels? Did you buy those from Sharkey? Also, there are a few pics of the car in this file on Gallery. Feel free to use them if you want: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=24553 Shane
  18. Mike, Thanks. We will beat this thing.
  19. Maurice, These guys aren't cheap, but you do get what you pay for. They may be your ticket: http://www.taylor-race.com/ . . . .
  20. Steve and Betsy, and coffee break, thanks for the support.
  21. Twerd68, How about the Stalker XL for a tall guy. :jester:
  22. If any of you have ever ordered parts from Speedway Motors, then you know the name Speedy Bill. Speedy Bill Smith passed away last Friday at age 84. He will be missed by many. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/?utm_source=bronto&utm_medium=email&utm_content=SpeedwayMotors&utm_campaign=MS060214&ns_pc=NULL http://www.nationalspeedsportnews.com/sprints-midgets/other-sprint-cars/legendary-speedy-bill-smith-dies/ To Speedy Bill . . . .
  23. Thanks, guys, Also, let me reassure all that our travel plans for the summer have been discussed in depth with the medical staff who attended her during her stay. We have always been a 'traveling' family during the summer and the medical staff, upon her second discharge from the hospital, saw no immediate problem (ALL things considered) with us being able to carry on with our summer commitments.
  24. Hey, guys, I want to step slightly away from the humorous side of myself for a moment and fill you all in on the month of May since this could very well affect our coming to NJMP or, at the very least, what we, as a family, will be able to do once there. Firstly, up front, yes, we are still planning to attend NJMP and are very much looking forward to meeting everyone and having a blast while there. During the month of May, we spent 17 days in the hospital with our eight year old daughter. After an MRI, a bone scan, an echo cardiogram, multiple x-rays, an interventional radiology (IR) bone biopsy, an invasive general surgery bone biopsy, an assortment of blown IV’s, multiple blood draws (sticks, as she calls them), lots of staff head-scratching while trying to nail down exactly what she had, a discharge, a readmission less than 48-hours later, a med change due to a drug-induced fever, unbearable pain, lots of sleepless nights and a truck load of hospital food, she is now home with a peripherally inserted central catheter (picc line) and is receiving antibiotics once a day via Mom and Dad for what the doctors believe is osteomyelitis (a bone infection). As anyone can guess, there is much more to this story, but that’s the short version. ‘HOPEFULLY’ the picc line will be a four-to-six week process, and, if weekly checkups and blood draws continue to trend in the right direction as they are now doing, we will arrive at NJMP PICC LINE FREE!!! However, the IV antibiotic she is currently on (daptomycin, one of the strongest on the market) does have a couple of unavoidable side affects; muscle deterioration and the fact that the sun and antibiotics do not mix well will limit her time trackside as well as her activities for the day. Anyway, that’s where we are and what we are up against. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and here’s to seeing all of you on the 4th . . . . .
  25. Dan, Ditto on my Stalker. In addition to the nylon bolts, I use rubber-insulated rivet nuts (well nuts): http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=11630 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=24373 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=11632 The parts are available from http://www.mcmaster.com/# . . . . .
