  1. Amazing weekend, great weather, good people, how could it get any better. Looks like I did leave all my bad luck at Gingerman. On both the trip to NJMP and the return home I95 was shut down at some point, but both times it was in the other direction. So I witnessed some huge backups on the other carriageway but my drive was smooth sailing. The car ran well all weekend, I even let Mr Blown Engine Simon take it out for a session. With a self built car you have nothing to compare it too. The design is much simpler than a Caterham, so I just wanted a second opinion from a good experienced driver. It got the Simon stamp of approval, the car is quick with no major faults. That is the answer I wanted, but it also means it is me that is slow not the car:) I suspected that anyway. Thanks Mike and Tom for all your efforts getting this together. Graham
  2. I find the flat top jack stands much more useful with out under car construction. Graham https://www.amazon.com/10499-Profile-Performance-Cushion-Capacity/dp/B01EJ1OGRI
  3. I totally agree with JB, you will learn more is a 15 minute drive that you will in many hours of guessing. When you do make changes you can repeat the drive and see the real effect of the changes. 6. I don't think this has been mentioned this year for the newbie drivers. NJMP requires arm restraints in open top cars. Like this https://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/products/arm_restraints/parts/ARADU Graham
  7. Well I did a warm up event this weekend at Gingerman Michigan, hopefully I left all my bad luck there. I broke a throttle cable, the nipple came off. My 3d printed throttle pulley decided to turn onto a wet noodle. The main ECU fuse blew and a tire exploded on the trailer on the way home. Getting towed in sucks, getting towed in twice really sucks:) But still a fun weekend with some friends from Chicago. See you in a couple of weeks Graham

  10. I put huge injectors in the K24 at my last upgrade, just in case I ever try E85, 1000cc injectors of I remember correctly. For E85 you really need to upgrade the entire fuel system as it's very corrosive. Even then I would flush it out of the system before any long term storage. Graham

  13. Superglue the cork gasket to the pan, just a few dabs in the right locations and the gasket will stay in place nicely. Graham
  14. What free play do you have, you always want some. If you have too much free play you clutch will not be fully disengaging. I would turn the adjuster out until all the free play is gone then turn it in one full turn. Give that a try and see of your clutch works. Graham
