  1. So you are looking for a car that weighs about 1,245 lbs dry and has 220+HP. Right?
  2. There was a cycle powered Seven at the autocross yesterday. You won't be alone in B Mod.
  3. Sounds like you now have a new deffinition of "going fast". :-)
  4. My insurance covers a SUV rental since I had an SUV. I have found a company that rents a Nissan Pathfinder with a 2" hitch. All I have to do is slide min in and off we go. I can get one as soon as they have one available. Plus my Sevens misfire is fixed. It was the crank sensor again. See you guys soon.
  5. I had an accident in my tow car today. Now I need to find a rental SUV with a tow hitch or socket I can put my hitch into. Any suggestions?
  6. I am coming up for Sunday. So maybe I will see you guys that come in early.
  7. Tom, First: There is much more car all around you than in a Seven. Second: You and a passenger sit much lower and protected than you do in a Seven. Third: Each seat has it's own roll proection device. A Seven only has one. Fourth: It doesn't rquire a top due to the anti rain aerodynamic design. Fith: They will take the yellow car in on trade. Why would she not approve?
  8. Karl, Any chance of it turning around? How about for NJMP the following week? Summit Point in September and November are usually great as well.
  9. Yes an FIA bar will fit under the FV Top.
  10. I used 4" thick foam rubber and simply stuffed it all around the trans. This blocked all hot air from flowing down the tunnel. It was no where near the drive shaft.
  11. 1. Jet Coat Headers - only with a no modified motor. My 216 HP Zetec burned off the coating in three days. So I needed additional insulation. 2. Covered footwells with self adhesive reflective heat guard. 3. Pack all around trans tunnel to prevent hot air from blowing down the tunnel. This lowered my footwell temps by 40 degrees. Measured with dual cooking thermoters in each footwell on 93 degree day. Temps measured before mods and after mods at same outside temp.
  12. I will be there on Sunday but can not count on M+t.
  13. I have a Caterham Zetec, cams, TWM Pectel 216 HP setup. It runs very rich but has run very well. Recently it started to mis at 4,200 and again at 4,700. At first I thought it might just be a cold engine. Today I took it out after a 20 minute idle to full temp. It had the same miss in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I didn't get to 4,200 in 5th on the public hwy. Any thoughts before I spend money on dyno time. PS I will have to pay someone else to do this as it is beyond my abilities. Thanks for your thoughts.
  14. I think that in the next edition they will be married in a seven.

  17. Dave, I went through that several years ago and the broke the same shoulder three years ago at the track no less and had another surgery. It seemed to hurt even more every time I walked past my car sitting in the garage. Have a great surgery and a speedy recovery. The harder you work on your PT the faster and better the healing process.
  18. Fathers day should be for the "FATHER". They should support you. You have been supporting them their entire life. :-) Bring the family to Summit Point. Sorry you can't make it.
  19. Ron, Not to worry. you will be fine. Scott Lentz signed up today. He said Gp 3 had 17 cars so gar. The cut off is 35 per group. It looks like we will have 8 or 9 Sevens (owners) in our group.
  20. HPDE 3 it is a fun group as long as you get out in front.

  24. That's a lot of parts. A new chassis and part out the rest may make sense. Is insurance kicking in?
  25. Jeff if I didn't already have an Aluma trailer I would buy it in a heart beat. Nice trailer. Are you driving your Seven or BMW at Hyperfest?
