  1. Does anyone know if it is possible to be signed off by a local PCA and have that accepted by PCA at LOG?
  2. LOG33 IS AT WATKINS GLEN! THE DATE: August 2, 3, and 4, 2013. Host hotel is the Radisson in Corning, New York. Friday reception, Saturday Banquet, and possibly Sunday Dinner will be held at the host hotel. We will be at the track on Saturday for the concourse. There will also be a laps and lunch event on Sunday for those interested. Track day: we are pleased to announce that the Porsche Club of Northern New Jersey has allowed our members to join in their 3-day track event. The track event will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If you are interested in doing the track event please contact Tony V. for more information. You will have to register the very first day to get in, as their events fill up quickly. We would like to note that because of insurance requirements you must be a member of Lotus Ltd to attend the LOG and when you register as a non-member, your fee includes a one year membership. You also must be a member of Lotus Ltd to help us with the event.

  4. Sounds great to me. Thanks for picking up yhe ball. I would want to register for the track time. Where, when and how is this done?
  5. Does anyone have experience with a Caterham S3 using a race clutch in a T9? If so I would like to know Manufacture and #s as well as the likes and dislikes. Streetable, Noisy etc. Thanks.
  6. I look forward to the videos.
  7. Good luck with the NorEaster that is hitting you guys now. I hope the new sand dunes don't wash back into your homes. Prayers r with you.
  8. Guys, I am sorry to hear of your losses but thankfull no one was hurt. Good luck to you all with your insurance coverages. If I were closer I would bring my shovel and alot of beer.
  9. Folis Jones has a Massive head plus other goodies in his Birkin and claims 258 hp. He is fast.
  10. Who is Mary?
  11. 1. install the kit available at Mid Atlantic Caterham or Sevens and Elans. 2. install a new belt and treat with belt dressing as needed. It may take a few applications. 3. apply Snapp belt dressing when and if squeal returns. It solved the problem for my car. Here is another older source with similar results http://bimmer.roadfly.com/e28/messages/archive/msgsy2001w51/85036.html
  12. I know this seems obivious, but have you applied belt dressing?
  13. I added this anti squeel pully about seven years ago and it has been great. http://www.sevenselans.com/partsforsale.htm
  14. I have a 2000 as well. The slave cyl is in the bell housing and is a stock Ford item. Thus requires a engine pull to replace. The part is relatively inexpensive but you may want to consider a new clutch while the motor is out.
  15. The car may have started out with GT Classics and was driven by Minor Wilcox about 12 years ago.
  16. Jeff, Sorry to see you sell your Seven But glad you are still going to be at the track. Good luck with your sale. Great price.
  17. Are you referring to the one that must have the "Pass Now" button on the dash?
  18. I thought Tom was moving right along at a nice clip. One day he will start braking late and put his right foot all the way down on exit and we will all be in trouble.
  19. get the R6s and you will get 20+ track days from the. In julu and August they will even get slippery in 30 minute sessions. The A6s will get slippery much quicker in July and August. Both will do fine in cooler weather.
  20. FYI a blown engine is a Catestrophic Loss. At least it was considered one and approved by my accountant for deduction as a Tax Loss. It was also approved by the IRS several years ago. Check with your accountant for present day IRS rules for Catectrophic Losses.
  21. Hoosier 225 -45 -13s A6s or R6s compound are great for track days. Hoosier bias ply slicks 20 x 13 x 9.75 might be the best autox tire. Avon 20 x 13 x 8.5 Rear and 20 x 13 x 7 Front are the lightest bias ply slick and I think are the best track tire on my Seven. But they wear much faster than the Hoosier A6s or R6s. Toyo R1As are a great everyday tire and a good track tire after the tread is about half gone. The 205 x 13 is even 23" tall which gives my car plenty of room to clear most road irregularities.
  22. Having read the attached PCA rules I agree that Sevens with clamshells meet their definition of "fenders attached to the body of the car at all four corners." However, the rest of their rules give them alot of latitude for exclusion if that were their goal. Besides it is their party.
  23. Karl, Thanks for the facts. A little harsh since your open wheels had nothing to do with your off. BTW: I have an extra set of clam shells. They extend wheel coverage as seen from above ;-) and the deep green would look good with your orange and black.
  24. So Karl, What really happened at the PCA event? Details please.
