  1. Mike, Thank you for a very well done clip. What a great way to bring back the memories. I can't imagine where you get talent and the time. The music and the little chats and oh yes that Beep Beep :-) were a classic touch. Steve, how is your engine?
  2. Mike, 2000 Superlights came with CR500 Mike Barnby 3 pc, 13 x 8 R and 13 x 7 F. http://www.mb-racingwheels.com/contact.htm The backspace on my Kodiak 13 x 10s is 4.5 in F&R. That is fine with a stiff walled Hoosier but the softer Avons require 4.25 in the rear. I think that anything greater than 4.5 will result in rear inside tire rub. You can run any backspace that is less than 4.25. The backspace will determine the offset. Less backspace will move the tire to a wider stance. Measure as described here: https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html You will also want to provide them with the distance from the wheel/hub center to the outside and inside edges of your brake calipers. w
  3. and that from an authority :-)
  4. Mike, https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html Explains how to calculate the back space your car requires. I will measure my CR500 wheels tomorrow and get back to you.
  5. When my car used to over heat on hot days I did the following: 1. remove all antifreeze 2. refill with water and water wetter 3. block all air from flowing around the radiator That was three years ago. So far, so good even sitting in traffic on 90 degrees. Oil cooler will be next upgrade.

  11. Ok, so I am bringing two bottles of red and a glass - glass. Saturday I agree to follow the fast guys. I said follow, not keep up with them.
  12. How about ordering pizza delivered to the garage area Friday night. Or will we need to park our cars over on Lightening?
  13. Croc, I thought you had the big screen TV, the fridge stocked and several lounge chairs in the garage by now.
  14. Congrats. First it tip is that it's one trip for the milk and then back for the eggs. Second tip is if the store is to close find another store. Have a blast.

  16. All done :-) The car has never run better and tighter. Hope I can get away.
  17. Looks nice but might be a bit warm.
  18. Skip, How are your shoulders today? What to rent the butt wench? I have a torn right cuff and it does make entrance and egress from a Seven a bit uncomfortable. Track days are a bear. Surgery set for August.
  19. Steve, Once you separate the bell housing from the trans with or without the gasket use a liberal amount of silicone sealant in and around the protrusion at the top center of the trans. This is the only place fluid will come from. I have run with a gasket and without a gasket but both with a liberal amount of silicone all the way around the lip of the trans and never had a leak. Go here for a 22 page T-9 Manual and assembly guide in a PDF: http://mjdtopsites.com/images/type_9-N_gearbox.pdf Good luck.
  20. Way to go George. Great result and review. Hey Skip. do you have any photos of you body wench? I now have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Surgery is scheduled in August. Thanks.

  22. Call John Esposito at Quantum Mechanics 203-463-8299 He just rebuilt two of my T-9s. Excellent work, reasonable price with a written guarantee and quick turn around. I shipped him three T-9s via FedEx Business for a total of $112.00 from Bethesda, Md. What happened to the third T-9 you are probable thinking? I sold it to another Caterham owner in Kansas. John is rebuilding it for him to his specs. Tell him I sent you. Oh, I forgot. John is the guy that built fifty T-9s for the US Birkins.
  23. Karl, Glad you got the car fixed and added lots of extra power. But does the car turn left now? :-)
  24. We are putting the motor and rebuilt T-9 a d new clutch back in the car in the morning. The car will be ready. So I am still a remote possibility. However, I won't know until the last minute. Like maybe sign up when I get there last minute. If I can get away I will be bringing our new puppy.
