Oyagi Do you still have these wheels? How about the clam shells that you took off your fejer?
-
love the car Aidan. Hope they installed euro/USA headlights for you, otherwise you may get zapped for these at inspection. ihckb2

My Fejer 7 came with Watanabe Wheels which are Japanize and are two different rim width sizes as well, 14" dia. My car came from Japan so having the Watanabe wheels does not seem out of place but Oyagi had a set of Watanabe for sale off his car which is I believe has always been in Canada. They also were of staggared sizes. So at one time the Fejer 7 may have been supplied with Wantanabe wheels

Congrats on your purchase Stephen. Toyotas 2TC/3TC engines have been around a long time and can be upgraded, of coarse with dollars, to mega horsepower. If you havent come accross this site already it may be usefull, http://www.brdracing.com/for_sale.htm. I have the twin cam 2TG in my Fejer 7, and I am still on the learning curve when it comes to tuning etc, but I love the power. Have fun, thats what its all about.

This might be a real collectors item, but I must say that there is a reason that they didn't sell, they are butt ugly. Give me a regular seven or equal any time.

oh no, I'm in big trouble once I get my 98dba muffler installed. As it is I got told at the local autocross that I was to load and don't come back till the 7 is quieter. Ear plugs are a must on the highway. I'm sure I have many rattles and squeeks.

where are you?

picture is a little dark and not close enough to confirm front suspension, but steering linkage looks correct as I can pic out the steering pillow block that supports the flexible rod. Does anybody have any knowledge on how many Fejers were produced? I have a picture and short write up from Automotive News archives,1984, that Super Seven Sportscars Co. of Newmarket Ontario had won an order of 100 road-ready replicas of the Lotus Super 7 to Japan with a standby order of 200 more. Engine and transmission by Toyota. I believe the original cars were produced with the Toyota 1600 2T engine from Corolla or Celica. Does anybody have access to old issues of Automotive News to confirm? My car has the plate showing the Super Seven Sportscars Co. and was purchased out of Japan. It has the 2TG twin cam 1600. So far I think there is only three of us on this site that have or had Fejers.

I agree with redisetgo that it is a Fejer 7. Mine is a Fejer 7 and it has the same setup for the heater. Another tell tale would be the steering lingage from the cowl to the rack is a twisted cable type used on old Ford pintos? instead of the typical u joints. Pictures of the front suspension would be a final clue if you can get them. The roll bar is the same as mine with no back bracing. Mine does not have a Mark Seven tag.

Steve My brother had a Morgan which he trailered from east to west and used tire straps to hold the rear down. We also used this trailer as a pick up trailer for the Morgan over America tour, which was used many times. I have also had to have my 7 flatbeded 2 times now and the operator both times would not tie to anything in the rear except by using tire tie downs. The type my brother had was a formed basket out of webbing that went over the top of the tire and down about a third of the way holding the tire in a up-side-down basket. Then one end is fixed and the other had a typical ratchet. The tow truck ones were an adjustable type with a short piece of webbing with a loop in each end and the main strap thread through the loops. The unit was then place over the tire with the main web in the back and the loop piece in the front of the tire. Adjust the webbings so that the unit is about a third of the way down the tire and then fasten the main webbing to your fix points on the trailer. Same thing one fixed point one rachet. This type will fit any size tire. The basket type might be available in different sizes. Check with a tow truck guy and he will probably be able to show you what they look like and how to set them up. These would also work on the front saving wear and tear on the paint. I still would use at least one front tie to put tension on the car to keep it from rocking back and forth. Use the emergency brake so the transmission isn't taking a beating. Glen

MoBoost and I have the same problem. The problem is finding 14" tires. Yokohama produced a great performance tire the ES100 but it has been discontinued in North America. Australia still get them, go figure. TireRack still has a few. I don't want to throw away my Watanabee wheels.

Special thanks to Ron and Michele for hosting another Sevenfest. It was my first time and enjoyed the day and rubbing shoulders with other 7 owners and want-to-be owners. I will leave it to Ron to give the overall count and some photos. ihckb2 Glen

Sorry but I have not installed yet. I will have to do some modifications to my pipes in order to line up the way I want it to. Probably will build a complete new set of headers come winter. The unit looks very well made and as mentioned before can be re-stuffed so makes it very practical as far as costs go.

Another great video.

Great video. My brother runs with Morgans over there around Sydney. I plan to be over there this October, maybe we can get in touch. Glen

I have just purchased a muffler from Car Builders Solutions out of England. They carry 3 sizes all in polished stainless and they are rebuildable which to me is the biggest advantage. They are possibly a little to heavy for those that are looking for racing. I will be putting mine on in the next month or so and will give details then. I bout the 7 inch 2.25 dia. in and out.
