Randy, when u finish that FFR with the newer drivetrain, please report back here. I have a coworker who was considering a FFR build(before becoming a father for the 2nd time) and last year we saw that theyw ere planning to get the last gen mustang mechanicals to work. I'd love to know how successful they were. and how the frame holds up to a real horse power.

looks like saturday was the day to be present. ihave a bunch of pics to resize. a bunch of the Cossies. Dave, thanks for following me and my friend leaving LRP and down US7 for a while. edit: as for a long weekend meet, i have not really found Ct cops to be forgiving as what we expeirenced at TotD. from what i've seen the area is not really geared for us, unless Bruce and some other locals say otherwise.

c'mon Tom, share details not even pics:cry:

Do you get any challenges in your seven?
Boxologist replied to slngsht's topic in General Sevens Discussion
nope. i checked. -
congrats. glad u got it well optioned. i will caution u about using the perspex deflectors. they may scratch the paint on the scuttle. i will go back to using mine when i have my half doors fitted. secondly, on ur new purchase, get as much of it "clear bra"'d as u can. 3M and Laminex make thin films that will protect ur paint. since going to sticky tyres, the rock chips on my sides have increased by several orders of magnitude. call around to ur local detail and tint places.

yes, i was there despite not being found. nice show, though for all intents and purposed LRP staff on Sunday in the Park are knobs.

So i'll be the one w/o the Caterham this event.

email from the codriver: Jon, Thanks a bunch for letting me co-drive! Attached is a photo of a slot car set I've got for my kids to play with. I don't let them play with these two cars because they are too fragile. Still a big kid, Rich http://inlinethumb57.webshots.com/11768/2725615330099946657S600x600Q85.jpg he did take first event results

i'll have to see the undercar portion of the RWIB to see how that works. can't really see how it would function from teh picture i linked.
-
would it be cheaper to pick it up from Mid-Atlantic caterham? Customs will have a field day.
-
1. ya don't drive ur car enough! 2. a season of AutoX is cheaper than ur new wheels.

Both CAterham rollbars ae pitched forward. the FIA bar more so. One reason it is far far down on my list of mods is because my half hood(s) will no longer fit correctly. That will have a huge consideration on what actually happens. The standard bar has shown itself to be durable enough if a 7 landed wrongside up. I can not stress my opinion of starting ur mod process and not actually be prepared for what the changes are. and yes, i will be bringing this up in conversation on sunday. practice ur glazed eyes expressions:crazy: :ack: the FIA bar is required competitive motorsports and by the MOST stringent tech inspectors. What i do like about the more common FIA bars is that they are taller. and that is VERY important with driver who are taller than you and I. for instance Spencer going passenger earlier in the year http://www.steguisfoto.com/albums/Motorsports/NYR-Autox-5-13-2007/IMG_9484_Fixed.jpg if teh bar was taller and canted so that the JJ half hoods still fit, it would b a no brainer. I'd prefer teh double diagonal as there "may" be flexing and distotion upon impact (flip). of course the load would have been so great that u'd be dead anyway. I do like the idea of teh petty strut going into the passenger if not going with a cage of some sorts. and for Homologation teh FIA bar will need to have a hole for tech inspection showing its piping thickness. as for the picture i grabbed while surfing blatchat showing the Rear Wing Intrusion Bar and Side Impact Bars, that would be sort of what I would find worthwhile on a non track only car. i beleive that are bolt on units, i'm not sure so if anyone knows, please confirm or correct this hepfully the PNW attendees will be able to add their track input and previous setups once they get home and get caught up. I would want the SIB to possibly be a bit higher, possibly meeting the top of the FIA bar so tehre is better cockpit protection in a flip/rollover. the RWIB i beleive is mostly for cone protection. for all my goals, i should probably actually talk to a cage builder about what could be fabbed, and what could be bolted in.
