dynojets are supposed to give decent numbers. Mustang dynos tend to be known as heartbreakers for reading low. Wonder what (if any) correction factors were used? if its an AWD setup he has, find out what what he dynos stock 01-04 WRXs (185-190 awhp) and 04-06 STIs (220-230 awhp) and it can tell u how it reads.

u say right price but u have never mentioned a starting dollar amount. a $15k se7en may be a beat up caterham or Lotus or a exception Locost. Al's advice of finding the members in your vicinity will allow u to make ur most informative decision.

when I left earlier at 2:15 to go to work my 7 had FTD. Of course i wasn't driving it. :banghead: but i got more video and good instruction in from my codriver and one of the other FTD canidates(prepped MG Midget). still spinning, but braking points are getting better and an insight to getting ahead of teh course. edit: minimal video. i think just got Rich's runs from the 2nd heat. not happy:mad: at least they is the fast runs.

following up on Rob Mitchell's seconding of the canadian maritimes for a trip. yeah, i know, USA7s. here are the dates for Targa Newfoundland over the next several years "FUTURE TARGA NEWFOUNDLAND DATES • 2007: September 8th - September 15th • 2008: September 13th - September 20th • 2009: September 12th - September 19th • 2010: September 11th - September 18th • 2011: September 10th - September 17th" the dates do sort of play havok with families as they coincide with schools just entering the new year. I would not be sure if i would drive as it would 2 16hr day drives from NY. probably ship the car and fly in (2 1/2 hrs non-stop). then again i'm cheap and crazy. TNF is expensive to enter though, for those considering that route.

"This event takes place in parking field #4 at Robert Moses State Park. Pre-registration $10 per car - day of event registration $15 per car Admission is $5 per person - children under 12 are free. Food is available at the concession. Date: Sunday, September 23, 2007 10 AM - 3 PM " those not familiar, sunday morning the barrier island turns into a giant unorganized car and bike show. anything and everything shows up to Oak Beach and is spectacle to see. probably 500+ cars and bikes will pass thru. the show is on a smaller scale, but is MUCH less chaotic. Hoepfully Atwell will make it out this year.

had awhole thing typed out but a co-worker of mine decide dhe needed to shut that computer off use it instead of any of the other ones. Basically my last post was not intended as a slight Tom, more a difference between regions. NYR is curently running fields of 50% or more novice the first season so the several events they have had to be very proactive in getting the noobs and novices up to speed so they would not be as embarassed and enjoy the time more. most of the novices really wouldn't speak up on their own, and those event co-ordinators who have so much time on the pro and national level may forget what the mindset of those starting out is. NY BMW is also going on 10/28, hmmm.
-
just saw the results... WTF Tom, did anyone bother to ride along with Al or get an instructor to get in with him to point him along? edit: lemme go check Hairshirt... edit2: nada insight on Al's thoughts there. I may be able to make Warminster on Oct 28th.

the sunday AM run on the way to teh AutoX is put to bed. a couple peeps of local subaru club saw it and were nearly close to leaving this week just on that footage. sunday autoX is small but done. i should be burning the friday late night Topaco to (almost) Fontana later this week. the saturday afternoon Hellbender/Wayah loop is getting edited piecemeal. thats the footage that everone saw at dinner. i just need to find out who else was on that drive of six cars. I think it was Rohaley, Frank F, Jeff & Jim Dorsey and I can't place the 2 cars who got caught in the rain and eating in Franklin. edit: i have not even started the footage of the return trip down the Dragon after the "non parade" with Al's ... well its on tape iirc. I think it has my run around teh lower portion of the dam at speed.

cool. i'll send u some stuff from the Dragon. I forgot PNW was this month. I thought it was to start in september.

NYR region was dry till justr after thge awards ceremony. of the mr2 community was borrowing another's (new Exige owner, Carbuff will eventually meet him). As they are about to start the drivers meeting, he sees the borrowed car has one slick that is corded from yesterday's Evo school. and his own MR2's tyres were corded leading to him borrowing the other car. so i'm trying to take a nap in my passenger seat and just say "U wanna co-drive this?". he does. beast the piss out of my times, and gves some good input to where i'm going wrong( 3 spins in 8 runs). getting video of him and myself from in and outside of the 7 also shows some serious work is needed on my part:banghead:
