scannon
I missed out on the last one they had for sale but this time I was first in line. http://www.flyinmiata.com/V8/for_sale.php I bought the Lava Orange one and it is now sitting in my shop waiting to be licensed so I can begin enjoying it. mrmustang
I was wondering if you were going to jump on one of them after Keith posted them for sale. Congratulations, nothing like a V8 Miata to get your blood flowing. Bill S.

Congratulations, nothing like a V8 Miata to get your blood flowing. Bill S. I tried to buy the black 1992 V8 they had for sale a couple of months ago. I was second in line and the first one took it. I didn't waste any time on this one as I really liked the color as well as all the added options. I had a deposit on it within an hour of the posting. I think the Caterham will be quicker to 60 but after that as they say, no substitute for cubic inches. My other cars are: Note - for some reason the pictures did not get picked up from my photobucket album. 1992 Miata, Sunburst Yellow. 1.9 l engine with FMII turbo system and lots of other mods. http://s1261.photobucket.com/user/scannon929/media/1992%20Yellow%20Miata/DSCN4036_zpsfbd35d94.jpg.html http://s1261.photobucket.com/user/scannon929/media/1992%20Yellow%20Miata/DSCN4018_zps989e7ea4.jpg.html 2014 WRX hatch, silver, 5 speed. http://s1261.photobucket.com/user/scannon929/media/Subaru%20WRX/001_zps64a5d6a2.jpg.html 2014 Ram 1500 quad cab with hemi. No pictures of it as yet. 2013 Baby 7 with 3.5 HP (soon to be upped to 6.5 HP). Pictures of it elsewhere on the forum. WestTexasS2K
I like the v8 Miata. I've been watching them develope it for a few years. It's on my build list along with a 58 impala and 67-72 c10 truck and 49 Diamond T. Give use some feedback on performance.

scannon
Skip, I think this is your car:  Close but no cigar. FM has converted two of the Lava Orange cars and this is the other one. Very similar cars but my car does not have the scalloped lids on the headlights and tail lights (yet, I plan to add them). My car dyno'd at 420 RWHP. The car in the video has the "normal" LS3 while my car has an LS376/480 engine which means it is an LS3 with a hotter cam. The lumpy cam makes the car rock a bit at idle and has that typical V8 big cam sound. During the test drive I floored the throttle while cruising at 75 mph in top gear expecting to be pressed into the seat but nothing happened. In my other three cars, all turbocharged 4 bangers, the response is instantaneous setting you back in the seat. The V8 was turning 2,000 RPM at 75 MPH due to a .5 overdrive 6th gear. The engine was below its power band. A downshift to 5th or even 4th is required to get the engine into the power band for passing. http://www.flyinmiata.com/uploaded/images/ls3%20vs%20ls376480.jpg The LS376/480 engine on the dyno chart is not the one in my car, it made 10 more HP. Can we call this normally aspirated lag? :jester: Edited November 22, 2014 by scannon
