Not to toot my own horn (metaphorically speaking, I don't actually have one) but I can see myself sweeping the table here:).

Thanks for the info on overnight storage. I think my car will be the least valuable there.........5 years in personal effort is the main value..........and it would stink up the place to go to the effort of the trip and then have it disappear, but more likely a bad guy would select yours before mine. They sound very safe. Thanks again for the reassurance.

Anyway I see arm restraints are required. Need to invest in those. Just one pair? or two if passengers ride along.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Fred

If you need overnight storage then I can arrange an overnight garage lockup over at the Thunderbolt circuit. Roman and S1Steve have expressed interest here and you are welcome to join them.

Arm restraints are required by driver and passenger.

Cheers

Three questions:

- JeffS.. will you be joining us?? we will miss you if not around!

- Mike .. also potentially interested in locked up garage option only if readily available. Is this still an option?

- does anyone has an AIM Smartycam GP and Solo DL data logging system for sale? would love to have at least a basic system installed

thanks!

A few quick questions / clarifications ahead of this years 4th July NJMP event....yeah I know I ran a couple of years ago but increasing age and decreasing memory have their effects...........and i thought it might be good to generally clarify some of this

Helmets: Snell 2010 onwards mandatory?

Harnesses: in date FIA-compliant minimum 4 point fixing required for driver and passenger ( if taking an instructor)?

exhaust / engine noise limit: none?

Oil breather catch tank: not required or capacity?

Glycol-based antifreeze in coolant: allowed?

Arm restraints: Optional or mandatory?

fire extinquisher: a good idea but not mandatory?

windshield: optional?

HANS device: optional? But after reading of xcarguy's exploits it seems like not a bad idea

roll bar: required to be fixed for all opentops and should pass " broomstick test"? (I haven't seen this checked in tech inspection but maybe the inspectors assume if you drive a Caterham there's little of value above shoulder height.....)

possible to register wife / significant other one the day to run your car in the green group: possible?

thorough checking of nut and bolt tightness and condition of steering, driveline, suspention & brake components before the event: Assume you are riding a motorcycle at 120mph and then checking torque settings etc. make sense

ability to be teased about almost any subject: remember to pack it

What did I forget?

cheers,

stewart

Hi Seb - Comments in Red

Three questions:

- JeffS.. will you be joining us?? we will miss you if not around! His last communication was that his had some conflicting plans but may be able to make a day to say hi.

- Mike .. also potentially interested in locked up garage option only if readily available. Is this still an option? Overnight only but yes I should be able to make it work. I have me x 2, Roman, S1Steve, Fred, you, and probably 2 others.

- does anyone has an AIM Smartycam GP and Solo DL data logging system for sale? would love to have at least a basic system installed not for sale but if you have a camera then I have a Racechrono logger that you can borrow to log data and then overlay it on the video later after the event. Or I can overlay it on the video - it does not take very long.

thanks!

OK- signed up for the event. Looking forwards to meeting everyone and learning some 'care and maintenance' for a 7. Didn't see how to sign up for Don's dinner?

Hopefully the new fuel cell will show up in time. Spoke to fuel safe today and sounds like it should be back. Hoping to get more than the 2 laps I got last time on Thunderbolt!

Expecting traffic will likely suck on the way up on a holiday weekend. Was thinking of leaving early Saturday AM but may re-think that and come up Friday.

Have question about harnesses but will post in separate thread.

See you at the track,

Jim

Jim, go in and edit your registration, the July 4th dinner is listed as July 4th BBQ on the water. Click the number of attendees box with the number attending and save the edit.

I am really keen to see Tom's new Birkin 7 done out in the dual silver colors that match my car. Looks fabulous in photos and I bet even better in person!

If you live local and want to check out the newest Birkin then come along and join the party - great opportunity to spend some time sorting out a new seven shopping list.

Less than two weeks to go now. We are at 17 drivers registered. We still have a shot at 20 if those on the fence get off it.:toetap05: We will have a great time either way. Admission to Croc's garageMahal alone will be worth the price of attending. Looks like right now we have all caterham variants, a stalker, a couple Superformance S1's, a Birkin and if someone gets off the fence, a WCM ultralight. :seeya: So anyone in the area that is looking to buy a Seven should think about stopping by to check them out and see how they fit. Looking forward to seeing old and new faces. Pack your bathing suits for the pool!!! Tom

Hi Matt - I got your email and responded. If you have any questions let us know. I think you will have a good discussion with Roman at the event since he has the engine package you will be using in your Westfield. We look forward to meeting you in person at the July 4 weekend event! :flag:

Cheers

mike
