Kitcat
I just saw that Caterham will offer heated carbon fiber seats on some '16 models! That should fill the show rooms:)! Apparently, they are holding off on the cup holders and cruise control....
lucky dawg
Well, with the British reputation for reliability, at least the electrical system should have no problem handling the extra load. On a somewhat related note, the 620 will now be available in the wide chassis with a road package. Edited January 12, 2016 by lucky dawg
scannon
Many times I would have loved to have heated seats in my Caterham. It does have cruise control which is nice on those long boring straight stretches.
TurboWood
Interesting to see the CSR advertised with a faster 0-60 than the 620 despite the power deficit.

lucky dawg
Interesting to see the CSR advertised with a faster 0-60 than the 620 despite the power deficit. What are the advertised times? I thought the CSR time was 3.1 and the 620 at 2.8.
TurboWood
The 620S is advertised as 3.44s (http://uk.caterhamcars.com/cars/seven-620s). I wonder if it's a mistake.
seschm1234
The 620R is the 2.8 sec.. those heated seats, 5 speed manual and wider body on the 620 S add up to make it a real dog :-), my guess is that the 5 speed causes you to have to shift once. lucky dawg
And a top speed of 145, ten lower than the CSR.

Croc
I have heated armrest in my CSR plus column stalks for wipers and indicators. I even have those nifty dash ball vents to aim nice warm air at the passenger. An I am still faster than Kitcat's zetec! :jester:

Klasik-69
I can heat my seats by just having the Lucas electrical wiring under the seat, and they will take care of the rest !!!!!! Only Lucas can run power to the switch first and then to the fuse. How many Triumphs had "heated" dash boards ? No need for a defroster.

yellowss7
Michael, you obviously are confused. Kitcat OWNS the infield. He usually spends more time there then on track. You just happened to catch him on a good day. If you make it up this year, I'm sure that you will witness the real Kitcat. :seeya: Tom
DeanG
Needs a flappy paddle gearbox with auto mode. Actually given the distances that some of you folks drive a few creature comforts isn't too bad an idea. It is one thing to attack the twisties for an hour. Quite another to do 8 hours on the highway.
yellowss7
Needs a flappy paddle gearbox with auto mode. Dean, my Orange car does have the Flappy paddles and sequential gearbox. On track it is awesome, BUT forget about it on the road. The lightweight flywheel makes starting tough, and it likes to shift when revving hard. Just poodling around the paddock is not what it likes. Plus you have to run up and down thru each gear. No shifting from 6th to neutral or 4th to 6th. But it sure is FUN on track. :driving: Tom
Kitcat
In defense of my driving style, I'd just like to point out that I give an equal amount of time to exploring the track's "outfield":).
