smross
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Seven mechanic in Massachusetts? If not, what about in the other New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connnecticut?) I probably should mention that my car is an early live-axle, X-Flow. TIA Regards, SM Ross

smross
Nothing right now but one never knows. Want to have a name just in case work is needed.
drewbrese
Nothing right now but one never knows. Want to have a name just in case work is needed. I'm not a mechanic by trade but am handy with wrenches, have a reasonably stocked garage, live in Massachusetts, and would be willing to help if needed. Currently working through a whole bunch of maintenance and other things on my older Caterham.
coffee break
On the CARTALK web site there is a section called the Mechanics Files. Take a look. https://www.cartalk.com/mechanics-files Some of the information may be out of date, so further investigation is suggested. Good Luck Edited April 17, 2019 by coffee break added comment
papak
You might try John Esposito at Quantum Mechanics in Oxford, CT (*(203) 463-8299). He has been at it a good while now and probably knows who is around and worthwhile. No email.
wemtd
While not Mass. I've used Alex at Granite State Dyno & Tune in the past. He has grown his shop significantly since my first visit to him and now offers a full range of services. Depending on your location he could be a reasonable distance for you to look into. 11Budlite
The guys at GMT Racing in Newtown Ct are more into vintage race prep and support, but when a friend had a cracked weld in an early 90's Caterham chassis, they were able to do a beautiful job repairing it. Been to their shop several times and there's always lots of interesting stuff to be seen, including a nice selection of Lotus Seven vintage race cars. BlueBDA
I am interested in this thread also. Also interested to connect with other local 7 owners (smross, drewbrese). Maybe shoot me a PM to connect?
