I'm confused by the two statements above.  Has this issue been there for years and the impetus to your initial troubleshooting, or is this more recent?

@MV8 even if that portion of the map should be pulled up, would a change there (light-mid throttle and mid-high rpm) address the issue Vlad describes above and quoted below? Or Vlad are you saying it's after full throttle, then back on the throttle again, but not at full throttle?  i.e. Full throttle > off throttle > light to mid throttle?

It's very hard to think back accurately to an issue that occurs seldomly and I only put 300 miles a year on a car with half of those being track miles. I realized that's a me problem, but nonetheless. Id have to reread my own thread which is almost like a blog to see when I first noticed it.

With that said this recent track day last year I think it was worse than ever which is what made it critical for me to try hail marry and address it in fuel map before something went catastrophic with too lean condition for too long or otherwise.

To your last question if I recall correctly I got very concerned on the track with this issue happening so I started recreating it and doing different throttle inputs  to recover out of it to see if they had any affect. If I recall, like you say, light to mid throttle would cause the bogging but going back to full throttle either avoided the problem or recovered out of it faster.

During daily driving I'm rarely on my car full throttle back to full throttle. So typically I would do a full throttle pass or being on the on ramp, get slightly above speed limit, then coast down, then apply partial throttle to cruise at speed and this would happen.

So yes in all cases it seems full throttle > coast > part throttle is the chain of events to create this problem.

Don't have a pectel so I didn't look at this topic until now.

The table looks to be alpha N / no MAP (load sensing). 18ms is around 100% injector duty cycle at around 6500 rpm. Left side is throttle position (butterfly angle). Column is injector on/open time in miliseconds.

I would have pulled up the middle too.

The block widths and lengths are adjustable but the table size is usually the limiting factor, so smaller load cells offer better resolution at low rpm and transition from closed throttle, then get wider as rpm and throttle position increase since the engine is less sensitive at higher flow. I would have the WOT/high rpm blocks about twice the size of the off idle/closed throttle blocks.

Thank you for the feedback. I didn't want to start a separate thread on this but yeah this is tuning+Pectel related at the same time. I blindly modified the table to a guesstimated figured. If you think some are too high or too low I can adjust it further.

I don't quite understand the semantics of part throttle and load application and how these tables reflect those scenarios but I'm all for getting better at it. Dez was helpful at the track by messing with the table first in person to see if it made anything better.

I thought he pulled up to make the red lines more even/level. The upper red line is near wot and mid to hi rev but you can't see the rpms unless the cursor is place on each line from left to right. The current cursor position is 3000 and closed throttle so I guess this is not the whole curve? Notice the front bottom rows that are all closed throttle but I guess they didn't need more resolution anywhere else so why not. Tables used to be much smaller.

I've not read all the posts. Totally skimmed. Rolling back into it could have been too lean before and I don't know what enrichment there is for TPS movement (separate table for accel pump emulation).

Vlad, I misinterpreted your earlier comments and thought it was going back to full throttle that caused the problem, hence my earlier -- and incorrect -- comments about enrichment.

Having yet to attach a computer to my Pectel ECU (if it's not broke, I'm not ready to touch it), I'm eagerly watching this thread

That's fair and I'm to blame. The car gets used less frequently than I'd like so I'm going off my (poor) memory and I don't exactly give accurate and consistent reports.

I was just happy to be able to modify the map and test it before putting it away for the winter.

I'll report further issues and resolutions this season.
