TorqueSpec Posted May 18 Author Posted May 18 Ha! I think I’ll wait a bit and decide if like the solid yellow first… in the interim, installed CaterLEDs for the 3rd brake light and also 3D printed some mirror mounts for the Spa mirrors. I think both look great! 2

I think both look great! What 3D print model did you use for the Spa mirrors? Is it one that you can and are willing to share? What type of print filament did you use? I figured I'd try to get the Eccles version mounts from somewhere, but no idea how long that might take. Ordering anything from the UK these days seems to be a crap shoot, what with tariffs, backlogs, etc.

I grabbed the STL from there, then uploaded and ordered through Xometry (a contract 3d print company). I had them printed in Nylon 6 CF (carbon fiber), solid infill. It was about $50 shipped. They came out pretty much perfect. I did need to widen the hole for the door post - pretty minor!
TorqueSpec Posted May 23 Author Posted May 23 SB100 process started! Got a temporary operating permit - now need CHP, BAR, and brake and light checks. Went to the Los Gatos DMV and they were helpful. Hopefully the paperwork is correct… First full tank of gas! 5 1
TorqueSpec Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 Working my way through the SB100 process and getting some good miles on the car. Got the car aligned and she drives wonderfully! Now down to the last few small items (anti-submarine belts, snaps for floor mats, remaining interior rivers, etc). Plan to replace all fluids at 500 miles. 5

hahuang65 Posted June 5 Posted June 5 @jmaz not OP, but I love my CaterLEDs. If you have a new build they're plug and play and awesome. No issues whatsoever and helps you be more discernable especially here in TX where I'm surrounded by trucks that are 8 feet tall. One thing to be aware of is if you install them horizontally on the top of the rollbar it'll interfere (and not be visible) with the hood or half hood. I installed mine on the vertical posts of the rollbar in case I want to ever get a hood.

I live in SF and am considering buying a 420 Cup, but I'm slightly put off by the SB100 logistics. Very useful to see what this involves and how long it takes, given how painful DMV visits usually are around here! 1
