Hi all,

I’m really looking forward to this year’s event after missing the last one (or two?). My car’s ready. New belts and tires, plus a bonus oil change. My helmet’s still good and HANS is re-certified. The forecast looks decent, but chilly. Make sure to take a lap or two to get some heat in your tires!

I’m probably arriving Saturday am, but just maybe can pull off a Friday evening arrival for the dinner.

Croc - Is CatKong attending??

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Best,

John

You can look at Motorsports reg and see who is signed up. I think there are 12 sevens so far.

Not this year.  The silver CSR was sold in June.  Kato will make an appearance this year.

But it does have heated seats! :classic_biggrin:

Did you see my comments earlier above re drop off options?

Did you read which exit off Rt 55 is best for trailering through downtown Millville?

Thank you for your patience and for coordinating this.

Found drop off info thank you.

I'm coming from 95 south to 295 to 40 to 540 so looks l will be avoiding Rt 55 completely.

Hope to see you Friday around 6 ish.

By my count we could end up with 16 drivers and maybe 17 cars, assuming Vlad ever gets around to registering 😜

:classic_rolleyes:

I was about to register to click "buy" but then started debating on the cost benefit of the insurance as the whole family seems to be coming down with the sniffles and never got back to it.

While on the subject matter, SNELL2020 is still good right for helmets or does it need to be 2025?

I did read the spec book but want to confirm because I think the spec book was talking about 2015 even still being good and I dont think thats the case

I’m sure most got the email from joe regarding drop off among other things. But I know some were asking

Scheduling Notes:

Friday, October 16:

Trailer drop-off/unloading at Thunderbolt will be permitted after 2:00 PM.

PLEASE BE AWARE: Trailer drop-off/unloading in the paddock prior to the permitted time, without prior authorization, may result in cancellation of Driver's registration and exclusion from the event.

Read that as well, Charlie. Welcomed news! I suspect due to Friday forecast they don’t anticipate much track activity which allows for early drop off for our weekend sessions.

For those signed up on Motorsportsreg, you will have now received your welcome email from Joe Mills of NJMP Drivers Club.

Please read it.

I will repeat - please read it.

It updates on drop off times.  Tells you what time and where for breakfast.  Tells you garage options.  Tells you what safety equipment you need.  Outlines how to get through tech inspection.

In short it is helpful for you having a stress free event.

For anyone arriving early I will be there at my garage in the morning getting organized although I will have to go and buy beer since my supplies are depleted from people drinking it.

Doubt anyone reads this but dinner plan is meet at clubhouse at NJMP then migrate to Green Olive in Vineland near Holiday inn - we have a 7pm reservation.

From Joe Mills, "A Race Suit is REQUIRED if driving a race car or car with a gutted interior."

Just for the sake of clarity, our cars are not racecars, right?

My car identifies as a racecar, and the interior is pretty gutted.
