slngsht
I took a look at that system and I don't have space for it anywhere along my current steering column. The heat from the turbo would probably fry the motor and electronics as well since the turbo sits right next to the column. bummer. that part of the dash is pretty much open in my car, but I won't know for sure if it fits until I have the pieces in my hands
Alaskossie
Winter modding project? Get my 2007 Seven S3 on the road for the first time..... With the able help of Nathan Down in Boulder, Colorado, it's getting closer......
Croc
She is looking good Alaskossie! My projects - pretty small since I have already replaced all coolant and fuel piping this year, new metal toggle dash switches, new battery, new oil, usual fluids & filters, etc: 1) reattach a popper base on the boot cover 2) replace the faulty oil temp gauge with a new mocal one 3) install a voltmeter I will also explore installing new seat harnesses but no urgency here as current ones are still in date to mid-2010. I also plan to drive it as long as possible - aiming to get 8000 miles achieved before winter sets in. Taber10
Alaskossie, I wish I still had Nathan Down working on my SV--this list would be longer, no doubt! I have to add a Power Outlet. I have a "Marine Grade" socket, but need to mount and wire it. I want to add one of the LED Brake/turn signal strips on the roll bar. My car does not have the CHMBL. I have started procurement of the "older, longer" Caterham wings/fenders--I have one and another on order. I want to try them to see if they will decrease the amount of rocks and trash thrown into the passenger seat... However, Ben said that some people believe they look less "traditional" than the shorter wings the car came with. I am all about the traditional look--forget that highly polished look! I will eventually procure and mount a fire extinguisher. Of course, here in Fla panhandle, the driving is often BETTER in what most people call winter than it was in the heat of summer, although I drove the CAT all summer.... Martin, could you or other Californians here post a picture of your car with the hillside on fire or a mudslide in the background? Please wait for the earthquakes to stop before snapping a picture, we like sharp photos. I'll take snow over apocalyptic events any day.
MHKflyer52
Andrew7, OK I will try to do that the next time I have the 7 out. :smilielol5: You know that I am originally from Coatesville, PA. and I will be there this week (7th through the 13th) so I will not be able to post any photos of California if it is shaking or burning.....Maybe I will come home to waterfront property as I live within walking distance to the beach. Just kidding as I am looking forward to seeing green grass and trees that are not Palms....just hope it is not raining to much as that would be a bummer but OK also......now where did I put that winter rain coat of mine....:leaving:

gjslutz
I have started a project of adding brakes and enclosing my little 12' open aluminum trailer. As soon as the weather goes south, I’ll go over the engine and T-9 leak. I also could do a wide track mod as well. Gary

Kitcat
1] Add 3 oz Stabil to gas tank; 2] Clean and respray K&N air filters; 3] Hook up battery tender. Phew, I'll need a beer after all that! Box: Congrats on FTD-no small accomplishment. As to your punctured fenders-are your super sticky auto-x tires responsible? Mike

Doug
Well Bruce, I've been demonstrating to my wife for many years that I'm a low energy person. Now would not be the time to "raise the bar."
