Yes. I'm fine. just got home, and waiting for my friend to bring a trailer so we can go pick up the remains. The entire front suspension and accompanying frame is destroyed. I had a bad feeling about the layout, and sure enough, nailed it on my last run.

The car ran FANTASTIC though, so had a great day. A couple of different instructors got to drive it too, and loved how she handled, etc... It was very encouraging.

No video... I do have one pic that I will upload shortly.

At this point I'm not sure how extensive the damage to the rest of the frame is.

here's the only pic... I hit the curb straight on... in this pic, we had already manually turned the car 90 degrees to get ready to roll it off the track.

There are 6 islands in the lot, and the run goes through them.... very tight turn before the island to slow you down, but wide open on the other side. I got sideways while accelerating out, and decided to put both feet in and take the hit, rather than try to drive out of it and really take a monstrous hit.

Anyway, leaving to go get it now...

Yikes! I didn't realize it was your car you were talking about in the first post. Glad to hear you are OK, I guess you and your nephew will be busy in the shop for awhile.

I'm anxious(the nervous kind) to see what all is damaged. I heard 2nd hand that the shifter is not where it used to be

I'm hoping the engine/trans/driveline/etc didn't suffer any damage.

You know, thinking back, the front end of the chassis was really all that was left from the original Rotus. I think the car just wanted to be 100% built by us :p

Take it easy and watch for symptoms tomorrow. That kind of wack could catch up with you. After being rear ended I felt fine. The next day all I did was sleep. Hope all is OK with you.

You have an opportunity to go even more insane with the rebuild.

hey guys, finally got the car home. Thanks for all the support.

did a brief survey. As far as bent tubes, It looks like on the bottom of the car everything is good from the motor mounts back. On the top rail, everything looks good (naked eye) from a triangulation point in front of the passenger footwell. So, at least 3 tubes need to be replaced on each side, plus the whole suspension box, both Aarms, etc...

I believe the engine did shift forward somehow, but I'm not quite sure how, so the damage could be more extensive. There is a one piece aluminum plate that covers the entire floor pan of the car from motor mounts back. That sheet is completely intact with all rivets, so I'm fairly certain all the floor tubes are OK.

We're scheduled for some rain tomorrow, so I've just covered it up and going to not look at it for a couple of days.
