Here's mine. I clustered the tach/speedo, oil pressure/temperature, and water temp gauges behind the wheel, and placed the fuel and voltmeter in angled bezels in the center.

Here's my Ultralite.

Important stuff in front of driver, Oil pressure, water temp, rev lights.

Tach and speedo in center, really don't much look at the tach when on the track, the rev lights are right in my field of view. Fuel and volts in a symmetrical pattern. Circuit breakers on the right. (Ultralites don't have fuses, all circuit breakers)

The thing in the center of the windscreens is my Valentine 1 radar detector, and since I can't hear it well, I have a Valentine remote audio control under the dash on the left hand side, connected to an earbud. The detector is upside down, on a visor mount, so it simply slips onto the edge of the hood. It is wired directly to the 12 volts(with a fuse)

Starter to the left of tach, HI OFF LOW headlight switch between tach and speedo, you can see the two green turn indicators (one next to fuel gauge), and the turn signal is a LEFT OFF RIGHT toggle switch on the left side of the dash (out of sight in this pic)

Ignition under dash at right center, Blue light at far right of te circuit breakers is the Anti Theft indicator ( you have to have the Honda key) , and you can just see part of the computer over the passenger's knees.

The black thing directly below the speedo is an i phone holder

The reason for the empty space on the dash is the support in the rear, which is inconveniently placed.

Here is my previous Caterham, now Jude's baby:

Speedo/tach in front of driver. Then water, oil pressure and fuel gauge.

I modified it later and do not seem to have taken any photos but the auxiliary gauges were then laid out as:

water temp, Mechanicial Oil press/temp dual gauges, fuel, volts

Here is my current Caterham when it was pristine new:

speedo/tach behind wheel. Then water temp, oil pressure, oil temp and fuel in the auxiliary gauges.

Center console has switches for hazard, start button and window defogger

I love having adjustable vents with heat and air con blower controls and column stalk indicators that cancel and headlights high beam on the column stalk at my fingertips and a proper horn button on the steering wheel, and....:troll::p

No photo, but my Caterham has the usual instruments-but what I depend on at the track is the shift light that shines an image on my windscreen as I approach red-line, along w/red light (idiot light) that comes on when oil pressure is low. In the heat of track driving, it is hard for me to process much more than that.

I have the same dash layout as Croc's original Seven except that I moved the ignition switch from under the dash on the steering column to the dash board between the water and gas gauges. It is just to the right of the curly cord coming down from the Escort radar detector. Much more convenient that way.

Polarized sunglass required for this dash (glare is terrible) - oil pressure & temp over steering wheel. RPM & MPH are large gauges with fuel in between. Circuit breakers under passenger dash. Far left is turn signals (left/right toggle) & horn (black button). Small lights behind wheel are turn signal flashers, high beam & engine trouble (bottom small light). Key switch & pull out headlight switch near big gauges. 4 sockets for power (2 in dash-2 between seats) for cold weather etc.. but too much of a puss to drive in weather requiring heated jacket/gloves.

I designed this by sitting in the car with a blank dash, and taping full size cutout pics of the instruments to the dash in different positions till I found a layout I like. I can't see the speedo and tach when they are in front of the steering wheel. The dash is finished in black wrinkle paint. Bernie

My Stalker dash. All are same size and centered in dash. Left to right; Tach, oil, temp, volts, fuel then Speedometer for passengers pleasure.

Hidden key location. I have a pod behind the steering wheel with horn, low/high beam and turn switches.

Sorry for the non-readeable photo.
