    VW/Vader

    That is funny.
  5. Have to agree Mazda. I believe our society as a whole really has no clue as to what is really going on in conflict zones around the world because our News Media is incapable of telling it like it really happens or if they do they just put out the sensational parts of the news because that sells and they need the ratings or they will not be around very long. I also believe our society has forgotten the overall reason is that our soldiers are doing the job they are doing which is providing security to our country and the people of the world. The fact that most of our soldiers are doing more for the people of the regions that they are deployed to (such as providing security patrols, opening up schools, rebuilding infrastructure and such in areas were without the patrols there would be just lawlessness) just does not sell or make for good ratings as that is not very sensational. I also believe our Government has not made it very easy for the News Media to get first hand information for security reasons which I also think is a smart thing for our soldiers safety and the well being of our population. My brother has told me that he can remember watching the Evening News with my parents during the Vietnam Conflict to see if they could catch a glimpse of me in the news footage as letters were far a few mainly due to me and it not being a priority for me at the time. During WW2 most major battle fronts had reporters and photographers within the units to document just what was happening. They did not have the instant news ability that our news media has today so things were even screened and even censored back then which most people never considered during that time as people were more trusting of what they were told. In Desert Storm there were a few News Personal that were entrenched with the Military units during those campaigns but that was stopped due to the fear that our News Media was being used by the opposition to figure out where our Military Troops where and what they were going after and where they were located. I also think most Americans and people of the world have no clue or appreciation for what our US Military really dose for the American public and the worlds public when they are deployed anywhere in the world but then I have been there as a carrier service person so I am a bit bass I guess.
  6. Well this is interesting 260+ MPH in a car that is street legal and you can buy if you have enough money, 1.6 Million Pounds or $2586400.00 US Dollars. The tires alone cost over $32000 US Dollars, more than I could afford for sure. http://biertijd.com/mediaplayer/?itemid=21927
  7. Oh man that is funny.....sorry for being insensitive but that is funny.....

  11. Look up DARPA URBAN CHALLANGE they are coming when tech catches up.
  12. Well I know how all the folks on the east coast feel as I was lucky to get out of Philadelphia on flight to the west cost Wednesday morning. It took 4+ hours to get from Homeville, PA. to the Philadelphia airport in my brothers jeep and it is only an hour drive on a normal day. Weather conditions did get worse as the day progressed and I am just glad to have been lucky to have had an early flight even thoughit was delayed by an hour. This is what it looked like at my brothers home at 7:30am on Wednesday and the Jeep that got me to the airport and out his front yard. Hope eveyone is doing OK and not stuck in the snow back their.

  15. I use a convex mirror designed for use in a mini van to see the kids in the backseat. It is suction cup mounted and adjustable so you can position it to see clearly. Here is a photo of it on my car. Works well and was inexpensive.
  16. Best laid plains always seem to have an issue....
  17. Hello All, Sorry if you have gotten an e-mail about an iPad or some other thing as I have not sent that out to anyone. Looks like my e-mail account has been compromised by someone in China of all places. I am trying to get it cleared up and hopefully you will not have to suffer the spam attack I have just become an unwilling part of. Martin Keller

    Evil Bono

    Now that is funny.
  19. Most likely due to not being able to put up the soft top but that is just my guess.
  20. I think the clip of the F1's was spead up just a little. If you look closely at the right side just below the fence (49sec to 50sec) you see a person move through the space at what looks like a walking stride but is moving very fast. Just my belief even though I know the F1's are fast the person in that area is moving to fast for the gate.
  21. Tom, So when is this event as I will be back east a couple times in the next couple of months and I might be able to come watch and meet up with the group if my timing is correct.
