OK maybe a couple of us do but defiantly not me.... I will be looking to see just what movies that young man produces in the future as he sure dose have the talent and know how it seems.
  8. Hi twobone, About the only a couple of things that could cause the filter to leak at the base. One is if you did not get the old filters gasket off the mount as they sometimes stick to the mating surface. The second is if the new filters gasket did not stay in place when you where installing the new filter to the mount. Best thing to do would be to remove the filter and look to see if either of these things have occured and if so just replace the filter and gasket. Your oil filter should be tightened by hand till it is snug and then about an eigth of a turn more by hand if I am not mistaken. As for the spilled oil it is a good rust preventer and most british cars do leak and leave spots where they are parked.....kinda like a dog marking its area.....just kidding on the spots and marking its place.
  9. Before pulling everything apart you might wan to check the fluid levels in the trans and diff. You might also want to check the CV joints as the will make a grinding noise if the boot has been split and the grease is missing or they could be worn out. Hope this helps and you get it figured out as it is just part of 7 ownership and what make them so fun.
  10. That is just hart wrenching.....just amazing the power of nature.
  11. Well done and relaxing, makes me want to go get my car out of the garage and go for a drive.
  12. Hi Josh, Good to hear from another enthusiast with a home built or Locost or LSIS. I know a lot of folks would enjoy reading about your trip and seeing some photos of your 7 also as stated by Scannon in the post above.
  13. Interesting to say the least. Did a little search on the net and it seems they do custom labels for their product. Very Cool. Here is the web site..http://www.yourround.co.uk/Brewer/Lovington/Cottage-Brewing-Company/BA7-7PS.aspx

That could be it....I just do not remember it being an amusment park back in the early 70's but then again things do change. I need to show it to my better half as she has a lot better memory than I...just don't tell her that.....

Talking to my wife and after showing her the clip of the model airport she thinks the name of the place was Baconfield or something like that and she says it was about an hours drive to the place after we left Abington....sure was a longtime ago....sure would be neat to go see it again if we get back to England someday.

    model hobby

When I was traveling in England in the mid 70's I visited the MG Factory in Abington, England. Outside of Abington their was a small village that we walked through and after touring the village we where directed to a scale model of the village that was built at the begining of World War II as the village figured that if they were bombed they would have a exact replica of their village to rebuild their village. The whole model was built so one could walk down the streets which where about two feet wide and the building roofs were at about bet height, wish I had more information about that village as it had a small auto musiuem in it and I can not for the life of me remember it's name. The model airport reminded me of that village and their scale model of the village. Sure wish I could remember the name of that village as I would like to see it again if and when I get back to England.
  18. Hi Gert, You can always rent a Next Engine Scanner and scan your seven or even better is to build your own scanner. Here is a link that tells you how on the cheap. http://revision3.com/systm/laserscan So three hours of carving at say $25 per hour and say three hours of digitizing the photo to be accepted into the program at $25 per hour, would you do another for $150 if someone wanted one of their 7.....just thinking.
  19. I would vote for this if it were put to a national vote as we all pay to support those that deserve the assistance and for those that are just down and out not due to their own neglect but then I am told that I am a hard a?s and a red neck to boot.

    That is very cool.
  21. Hi breezy7, Take and start your car and let it idle, then take a can of either and spray lightly around the intake flange. If you have a intake leak your engine RPM will increase with the either and you should be able to narrow down the location of the leak if it is an intake leak or leaking vacuum house. Some people use WD40 for the same thing but I find that a little either goes a long way and does not leave everything coated with oil. Might also want to check valve timing to make sure the valves are opening and closing at the correct time especially intakes as your timing could be to advanced or to retarded but then the car would not idle very well but worth the check. Hope this helps.
  22. I kept thinking I bet they make sure the AC unit dose not turn on and create a draft or some one dose not open a back stage door and have a gust of wind blow through.
