  1. That is great..... Wounder just how close to true that is now days with the technology that is out their now as I do know that the F-14 when it was still being used had a very good forward looking camera system for its time and that was in the early 80's back then.
  2. How about Independence Hall and the area around it for sightseeing or the Philadelphia Museum of Art for place and enjoy when in Philly.
  3. Mazda rulles :hurray: and besides it sounds like you did not have any place to go and sometimes S%#t just happens that way. Franklin7 is owned by a BULLY when it comes to his lane and he is in a ten year old Yukon.....LOL....That is why on my pickup I have reinforced step rails that do not look like they are and they are 18" off the ground and sit out just far enough that they will come in contact first before the side of my vehicle.
  4. The Miata engine is a very easy fit in the Westfield as Flyn' Miata is the main distributor vendor for them in the USA if I am not mistaken...here is the link to their site http://www.flyinmiata.com/westfield/ Keith Tanner has a book out on building a CMC chassis 7 Replica with a Miata engine that is the same size as a standard Caterham I do believe. I actually have a Miata and my scratch built 7 which is the same size as a series II and the Miata engine looks like it would fit without much effort but with the addition of a turbo it might be very tight. Just my thoughts and I must say that Skip has a very nice and well engineered setup with his car using a Miata power train.
  5. Still is funny.
  6. Skip, Another great story their Skip.
  7. Great story. Were did you find that and the photo. Just amazing.
  8. I am still laughing at that and also woundering how they did that..... Can you picture the expression that was on the face of the driver coming down the street seeing the mower draging a person across the street....
  9. That is very cool but can you get the UBH Mustang here in the USA.
  10. That is cool. Google has the same thing without the ads and is even more current. Vpike seems to be googles old maping program as when I did my location the photo that comes up is three years old. I can tell this by looking at the yard and how it has changed and knowing when I changed it. Google is about six months past present at this time. Here is the link to Google Earth: http://earth.google.com/ Enjoy.
  11. Nice 7. Should not last long at that price I would suspect.
  12. Good article and thanks for sharing your experience with your new toy car....(that is what my wife calls all 7's)....
  13. Colthing Drive. :jester: Watch the link below. http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1125919467?bctid=63259762001
  14. Have to say the article is a good one that Gert posted but I am still going to cary my COW MAG as it has worked for me and besides it can be used as a weapon if necessary kind of like the biker that caries a small ballpeen hammer on their cycle if you know what I mean, besides it gives me pice of mind and something to do when stuck at a traffic light with no traffic in site....LOL at myself...
  15. Hi John, We have the same thing here in the local area so I have one of these sitting on the floor up against the frame and it seems to work very well. Sometimes I have to reach down and pick it up and wave it close to the sensor wire area that is embedded in the street surface especially if the road has had a seal cap applied to it without redoing the sensors. http://www.onlinesciencemall.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/SFV/30852/vpid/1988887/vpcsid/0/rid/126318 The Ultimate Heavy-Duty Cow Magnet! http://a763.g.akamai.net/7/763/1644/4/app.infopia.com/img/image/fp/VPID/1988887/size/250 Now stop laughing as I know it seems dumb but it dose work.
  16. jimrankin here is what I have on my car and they work fine and are not that expensive. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Chrome-Dietz-Type-Headlights,2948.html They also have turn signals if you search their site. Hope this helps.
  17. If you watch the video closely they did it in the curve of the tunnel to help keep the car on the wall. Hard part would be building the ramps for the transitions to and from the walls but very do able from an engineering aspect.
  18. SPACE THE NOT NEXT FROUNTEER.......maybe we should just bury our heads in the sand also..... Hell we still have not figured out how the Druids built Stonehenge and our present leaders seem to not care if we ever do I would suspect let alone get the economy going by killing some 20000+ jobs just in NASA not to mention the trickle down effect this is going to have here and around the world. Just my opinion and Yes I am not very PC and if you do not know what PC means then you are most likely a Gen “Y” person in my belief.
  19. I wounder how many engineers it took to figure out that ramp setup to do that. Very cool.
  20. Cool......One smart cowboy......
  21. Dean G. Any idea as to what make it is or was originally. Nice workmanship in the Aluminum body.
  22. Check your first post for some helpfull info. I have made the same mistake so don't feel bad.
  23. Ditto on that and besides the Ostrich can talk and never will disagree with him. :cooldude:
  24. The tachometer output should go to the tach not the alternator in my belief. May I suggest that you call Petronix as they most likely have a customer help line. Here is a link to their instructions: http://pertronix.com/support/manuals/pdf/rev.pdf Here is a link that you also may find helpfull: http://www.pertronix.com/default.aspx Here is their phone numbers and address: PerTronix, Inc. 440 East Arrow Highway San Dimas, CA 91773 Phone: (909) 599-5955 Fax: (909) 599-6424 Hope this helps.
  25. Wow. Wish I had the extra capital to buy it as that is a smoking deal and one nice looking car.
