I was surfing the net and came across this article and some photos that I have not seen before of the 7-7-7 event. I feel it speaks well of the orginization and its members. Enjoy. http://www.google.com/reader/view/?source=gmailnonewmail#search/lotus%207/6 http://www.google.com/reader/view/?source=gmailnonewmail#search/lotus%207/5

Hi Gert, That was pretty good. I enjoyed see where you were and the roads and the other 7 either following or in front or alongside. How is your camera mounted so that you can rotate it and what controls its rotation.

I have a very similar setup that your mechanic has suggested and it works great. Used an old go-cart tire to make the rubber washers. Sounds like you have a good mechanic who just dose not change parts so use his idea.

Very nice. Have fun an by the way that new smile never goes away with a 7.

Ok folks, just how many of us are pilots of aircraft of any type.

That would ruin your day for sure. The people in that pickup received one heck of a surprise and a sudden stop for sure. Looks as if a car could disappear into that hole.

I must say she must have skipped a lot of classes or was passed through the grades due to her looks after viewing that clip.

Ouch!!!! What happened to cause the rim to get bent. Have fun in Portland and enjoy the Beer and Food as that is one of the reasons I like the town. If you have the time drive out towards the Dallas on Interstate 84 to Multnoma Falls (spelling is all wrong) but come back on the old highway. It is worth it. Does your spouse share your Sevengelism?
MHKflyer52 replied to solder_guy's topic in General Sevens Discussion
My wife has driven the car a couple of times and has stated that it is like a big go-cart. She has also said that she really dose not feel comfortable on the road with all the large vehicles mainly due to the sides being so low and the fact that it is loud and noisy and windy. She dose ride as a passenger and usually has a smile on her face when we get home, maybe that we are home but I tend to believe or want to believe that she likes the ride for what it is. -
Hello and safe traveling to all. Who owens the fine looking C1A that you all parked around at your BBQ. First A/C that I was assigned to fly was a COD out of Rota Spain in the early 70's. I have always told my wife if I had the choice of all the NAVY Aircraft I have flown for my own I would want a C1A to play with, I guess I am just semental. Martin Keller Ventura, Ca.

He is one of the best drivers in the world.... I like were he goes by those cars on the long straight near the end and makes it look like they are going backwards compared to his speed. Very Cool to say the least.

What is the clearance of your Seven?
MHKflyer52 replied to solder_guy's topic in General Sevens Discussion
The front of my car is 5.00" from the bottom of the frame at the radiator, the rear is 5.75" at the rear bulkhead and the lowest point is the oil pan which is 3.25" but due to the location has not grounded as of yet....Knocking on wood now....my tail pipe which exits to the side does occasionally scrape in hard right turns if their is a bump in the turn but this is mainly due to the fact that I have the end turned down so the exhaust note is deflected into the ground to help reduce the noise signature. I have scraped the floor pan just about midway due to a driveway entrance angle but only when driven straight onto it and it is just a very light scuff. -
Hi Mazda, Get yourself theSolidWorks 2006 The basics with MultiMedia CD (www.schroff.com) ISBN 1-58503-265-4 and SolidWorks for Dummies book ISBN 0-7645-9555-5 from Barns & Noble or any good book store as they are two of the best reference's I have come across. Have fun.

Posted on the Locost_North_America site by Mark Rivera who built his car. This is a copy of his post to that site. "Boy, was yesterday ever bittersweet. I was having a tremendous time on track, eating up cars like nobody's business. Then, at about 130 on the back straight, I went for the brakes, and the pedal went "POP" and straight to the floor. The pivot bolt on the floor mount came out. I'm not proud to say this could have been prevented by using a locking nut instead of a nut and lock washer. I'm ok, a little banged up, but ok. Things could have gone much worse. The car did its job to protect me, and that's why I'm here and not in the hospital or dead. Not sure what I'll do next, have to get the car unloaded and see how extensive the damage is. Here's the video. Mark" From Martin Keller I am posting this to this site as I figure that this actually helps make our cars safer as it make us aware of things that might get overlooked from time to time. Check those pivot bolts for security before the next ride. I did and hope you due.

Today I was invited by a friend to look at some old cars which belong to his father and have been in storage for a long time of which there are a couple of Lotus Europe’s and what the I was told is a car that looks like mine but he was not sure it is like my 7 so I decided to go and look at what his dad had in storage. Here is what I found and was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this 7 and what it might be worth as it has a placard that says it is a Lotus Serial Number SB 2077 Cheshart Hertfordshire England but not what model it is. It is a right hand drive with a dual cam Lotus engine. My friends dad said that he had forgotten that it was in the back of the storage garage until his son saw my car and was telling him about it. He thinks that it was parked were it sits today in the early 70’s and is not to sure if it ran art that time. The amassing thing is the tires are still holding air but I think if you were to move the car they would go flat as they are very dry rotted looking and lots of cracks in the side walls. The shocks have lost all their fluid and the springs have collapsed but it looks to be all their. We did find the hood up on a shelf but it dose not seem to fit and is made from galvanized tin not aluminum which I found to be odd but understandable. It has solid steel rims with hubcaps and little tires compared to the tires of today (I think they are 165X4.5X13’s and the spare looks to even be smaller). My friend dad tells me he took the little car as he calls it in trade but dose not remember what the trade was for as it was a long time ago but thinks it was for a sail boat (good trade I think). After sitting in it which meant that I had to help move a lot of stuff from on top of it just to get to it and by the way there is a Formula Ford in their also under a bunch of stuff, from what I can see the 7 feels smaller than a Caterham or Westfield or my Locost build so I am wondering if it is an early MK I or what as the owner really dose not know what it is besides a Lotus 7 and the paperwork that I saw which was an old registration says it is a Lotus last registered in 1968 but the owner is not sure if it is for that car or one of the others stashed in the storage garage. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1518909561_DSCN2172.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/21101942_DSCN2174.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1195616961_DSCN2173.JPG
