  1. Met here. 4 vehicles, trailer, house plus umbrella policy. Unlimited mileage, agreed value, no restrictions on where I drive able to lower rate when in the garage for Halloween to May1.
  2. Chris at Sevens & Elans gave me the opportunity to sit in the standard Caterham and the SV. At 6'0" 190 lbs with size 10 feet I chose the standard Caterham. The only adjustment for me was lowering the floors about 70mm to get my line of sight under the top of the windsheild. Very happy with the choice (once I lowered the floors).
  3. Boys + Toys + Horsepower = Physics lessons don't get any better!

    Weigh In...

Weighing in at 1320 with 8 gallons of gas and the spare tire in place. The car has lightness but the driver could use a little reduction. :ack:
  5. LOL, perhaps that should be a requirement for elected office, prove that you can live and balance a budget on McDonald's wages for a period of time. Not a bad idea!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The se7en sits in the garage with 2734 on the odometer I am starting to think the snowblower will have more miles this year! (Maybe a little bit of cabin-fever?)
  7. I also have a set of originals that were never installed that you or anyone else would be welcome to.
  8. Firstgear makes very good rain gear for motorcycles that kept me dry at Lime Rock on a rainy weekend before I had the top installed.
  9. :7frog: anybody have a wiring diagram for a caterham showing wire connections and diode placement for the four pole switch??
  10. windchill only affects exposed skin, so cover up and minimize exposure time plus the fact that cold air produces more horsepower definantly go fast
  11. My order is for 1 "man" - I must not have chosen gender in the original post.
  12. to continue Boxologist's points you'll also find that the hardest core biker's will give you the hi sign when your out for a blat. they understand. young and old "car guys" seem to embrace this car. when xorad, steve and i went for a blat in september our stop at an overlook took an extra hour with all the questions of the bikers and drivers (age range probably 18 - 70+) no two are the same - ford, GM, mazda, datsun, bmw, honda, suzuki, yamaha and other powerplants / normally aspirated, turbo, supercharged / lotus, stalker, caterham, westfeild, locost, ....... - the cars are as diverse as the owners and if this forum is any indication it is a group truly interested in enjoying their lotus seven inspired sportscars - we truly fit the old "birds of a feather"
  13. VERY NICE!

    Awesome race

Folks, check out this website www.theracingnetwork.com they are proposing a new network similar to the old speedvision. Everything from austrailian bog racing to ALMS.
  15. count me in for one! (men's)
  16. Were you hooked up to the OBDII when the runs were made? Did it flash any codes? Are both the variable cam timing and variable length intake manifold activating correctly? (For both their main effect is to raise the torque curve at lower RPM's)
  17. Très agréable
  18. I am long in the torso (6' with a 31" inseam). I lowered the floors of my Caterham S 70 mm to lower the top of my head below the roll bar. Prior to lowering floors. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/469980702_PICT0267.jpg After lowering floors. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/111815328_PICT0386_2.jpg In this photo you can see the lowered box section to the right of the oil pan. This also pulled my line of sight down below the top frame of the windsheild while maintaining the stock cloth seats. With my size 10's the only way to fit the feet in the pedal box is with the 9.5 Puma Sport Cats - if somebody comes up with an idea for a dead pedal I would love to hear it.
  19. I couldn't resist. Front engine (kohler 20hp 2 cyclinder) Rear wheel drive requires constant maintenance no heater although it does have a huge tendency towards understeer http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/764878834_CIMG0467.jpg the yellow "7" matched too well to resist
  20. I should have it ready today!
  21. A few more photos and with a little help from Mazda (hint, hint) I will have some video to post later. Nice overlook on the Minnesota side of the river. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1542688724_CIMG0592.jpg Overlook from the Wisconsin side. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1320376083_CIMG0599.jpg End of the day group shot with - Brent, Brenda, Amy, Steve and Drew http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1607147176_CIMG0603.jpg
  22. With a Caterham the S vs. the SV also has a sorting affect.
  23. One of my big reasons for the Se7en was I had never driven anything street legal with the same feel. The closest to the 7 I have had the opportunity to drive were D Mod AutoX (rotary powered Sardini), Skip Barber FF's and an SCCA EP MGB (former national champ). One thing that I find totally different is the seat of the pants feel, basically sitting on the rear-end provides a totally different feeling as the car begins to oversteer.

    Engineer

Dilbert - The Knack - Engineer I have the distinct feeling that many in this club will indentify with the clip above.
  25. I have a "carbon fiber" decal material over my pedal box which stands up well - but I'm not running a turbo. Could you try it somewhere closer to the turbo to see if it holds up? Another thought - how do you insulate the painted surfaces around the turbo? If the paint holds up I would think this material would also.
