1. Looks like it's for sale again: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Lotus-Seven-7-Mk-4-BMW-2-0-/150633662397?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item23127747bd

Lotus 23B

These don't show up on Ebay very often. Beautiful car! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-23B-Restored-Exceptional-History-/200632619910?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2eb6a2d386

4. Beautiful car Dermot, good luck with the sale.
5. Not a Cayman, but this seems like a good deal for someone that's willing to do a little work: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/613752-fs-ideal-spec-boxster-donor-car-great-price.html
6. Thanks for the updates with photos, it looks like a fun time!
7. I think this car was in either Grassroots Motorsports or Classic Motorsports a while back. I'll have to check when I get home tonight.
8. Jlumba - Check out this write-up on a BGH close ratio gearkit install on a T9: http://my.voyager.net/~quadrant19/Gearbox-upgrade.html This should give you enough info on what tools you need. The kit you're looking to do should be easier since you shouldn't have to machine the case, but I would double check with Burton first. I did the same BGH kit as Cherik and have been very happy with the results. I was able to machine my case with a drill press and a simple tool I made up, info here: http://www.usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1046&highlight=trans Other than that, just follow the manual and keep the parts cleaned and organized. Here's a T9 manual: http://www.biggles.net/download/Manual_Type9.pdf
9. I didn't see the seal listed at BAT or Taylor Race Eng. You might want to give John a call at Quantum Mechanics. He does a lot of overhauls on Brit gearboxes and might be able to help you. Here: http://www.quantumechanics.com/categories.php?op=newindex&catid=17
10. I agree with JT completely. I removed my heater and went with a Gerbing heated jacket w/thermostat and I'd never go back. I drive my car even when the temps get down below 20 degrees F and I'm still comfortable....and I hardly ever use my doors. Scott - beautiful car, good luck with the sale.
11. Mike - One thing I do before I wash my car is lay a couple towels over the top of the motor to keep water from going through the louvers and getting into the spark plug wells, coil pack, and air filters. I've never had a problem, but I'm sure the X-flow ignition system is even more susceptible to water problems than the Zetec motor....
12. Wendell - If you don't want to use the Girling MC, check out the Tilton models available at Pegasus: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3505 Pegasus also carries the Girling line and I'm sure the Tilton models are available at other vendors too.
13. A little more info here: http://www.lotus7register.co.uk/springbk.htm
14. Rich, Do you know what version Zetec you have? It should be either a ZX1, ZX2, or ZX3. I think most Caterhams from that era used a ZX2. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the water pump setup on the ZX2. The ZX1 should not need the anti-squeal kit because of the water pump it uses. Here's a thread that shows the difference between the different Zetec models. http://www.usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5096 Unfortunately the ZX2 photo doesn't show the water pump in detail. Check out how the ZX3 water pump inlet is to the left side of the engine away from pulley/belt area. Maybe a ZX3 water pump could be used on a ZX2 motor if that's what you have.
15. Good one Gert!
16. I'm not positive, but I think the SVT uses a returnless system that doesn't have a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. I think there's a FP sensor instead that sends a signal to the ECU to regulate the fuel flow. Here's a link that describes it better: http://www.aa1car.com/library/returnless_efi.htm
17. Nancy and I have a wedding today so we won't be able to make it, but have a great day and take some photos!
18. Bet this would be fun! http://ccrscca.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tt&action=display&thread=4495&page=1
19. Sorry for delay. Here you go: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C219053/
20. I have to agree with the above comments. I run the HTR 200's on my '64 MGB but I wouldn't use them on the Seven. They're a decent tire but to me it'd be a waste of the Seven's capabilities. From what I understand the HTR 200 has been discontinued so they won't be available for long... PS: Nice looking car!
21. Nice looking car that's located in Nazareth, PA. No affiliation, etc:
22. Interesting video, thanks for posting....
23. Beautiful, congrats Mike!
