  1. From the sticker, this ZZR appears to have an A46 compound. I wonder if that’s what they’ve settled on, as a in-between from the previous A64/A24/333 compounds?
  2. I too, have the 3.91 BMW diff, which had the Titan internals. Now have a BMW diff with tracsport lsd. Happy with it for the past few seasons.
  3. That’s really good to hear.
  4. Thanks for getting on that early!!! In the calendar!!
  5. Gorgeous spec on that!!
  6. 1997 Trailex 7031. 715lbs, plus the spare tire and holder; <800lbs. Surge brakes on all 4 wheels. I like the security of the 2nd axle, but wouldn’t have been against a single axle trailer if this hadn’t turned up on Racing Junk when I first needed it.
  7. Mine (420-spec with roller barrels) also hesitates/stumbles if I give the throttle too big a stab off idle. It always has. But as you note, once under way, it’s not an issue. Really just a nuisance in local stop and go driving, it a non-issue at the track. Not sure if that’s the hesitation you’re speaking of.
  8. I had a misfire at the track that turned out to be a slightly loose battery cable. Forgive me if you’ve already checked this, but it might be worth a quick look.
  9. I’ve always wondered why Caterham doesn’t use bracing down there that’s bolt-in instead of integral. It would make drivetrain install/removal much easier.
  10. That’s what worked for me.
  11. Our better halves (and half-pint):
  12. Tracsport installed their LSD two or three yrs ago, if memory serves me.
  13. The Tracsport is quite well known for performance and durability in these circles. I haven’t heard of any complaints from anyone using one. My 2017 Caterham with LSD ought to have had the updated Titan design (I think), but still crapped out, so I opted to swap to the Tracsport. Maybe folks in the peanut gallery will chime in here?
  14. For reference, my 2017 Seven 420 (nee 360) had a Titan BMW LSD fail. Tracsport in the UK provided (and installed) their LSD into a new BMW diff that they bought directly from Caterham UK. Then they shipped it here and I installed the “pumpkin” as a whole, rather than having the LSD shipped here and having a transmission shop install it into the carrier Stateside. It was a fine solution for me.
  15. Seb, this is great news. You’ve gone mental, which seems to be the natural progression of well driven Se7ens drivers;)
  16. Fantastic news! Fingers crossed and many thanks for scheduling!!!
  17. Oh sh*t! Meant to write “her,” not “Uber,” but your idea is excellent. I imagine she’ll be thrilled to hear it.
  18. Yes, Paula is planning to attend, but I’ll likely wait until last minute to sign Uber up as a non driver.
  19. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5bmYD1KZ2C/?igsh=MXE3ZjBzdzBlZGR1Yw== https://www.facebook.com/share/aYaHU1KYEPCA7kDg/?mibextid=WC7FNe A few of us are planning to get a critical mass of Se7ens to show up at the Rye Brook Cars and Coffee. Should be fun!
  20. Simplify and add lightness, please.
  21. Check the Factory Five forums (maybe archived material) for those numbers. In 2017/18, they were there, if memory serves.
  22. Mine was built from new, so in NYS, the custom home built vehicle was what was recommended to me and worked out fine. Really not too much fuss. That said, if the vehicle has a title, registration, etc from another state, I’d be inclined to try registering it as a “regular” car, though Vlad’s point about OBDII could pose problems. I’m not familiar with those issues because the custom home builts are exempt.
  23. I am in Westchester County. SV with lowered floors. Plenty of room in the pedal box, so no need for skinny racing boots. You’re welcome to come by to try the fit.
  24. I won’t be there. Sorry.
