  1. Insanity, madness, ludicrousness. It feels like during the build you checked off the top box including the secret boxes that turn it up to 11 not shown to "regular" customers. We know it will take the power/speed title, pretty sure you're also taking the invoice crown from the certain orange Cat.
  2. Amazing man cave. Thank you for sharing. I see you have the official Caterham square badge too, instead of the roundel. You don't see that too often.
  3. Personal anecdote in regards to the Atom. Fell in love with it years ago after the infamous TG episode with Clarkson having his face destroyed. Soon after there was a local with one. Ended up with a Caterham and couldn't be happier. There is now another local with a super fast limited edition Atom. If I were to have a track only car, I'd probably chose the Atom for the same reasons I'm very happy as an owner of the Caterham. It just makes a better car, arguably a worse track weapon (legacy frame instead of new bottom up engineering, front engine instead of mid/rear, less Aero, less power etc) However driving 7 on the street is a different ballgame. It feels much more compact (exterior and interior). You sit IN the Atom instead of feeling like you're wearing the car like the 7. Atom roll bars are high (shoulder level) and the interior is much more spacious. On the 7 you feel much more involved with the elements due to how the frame is designed. You can touch the ground as you're sitting in the car (can't do that in the Atom) Comfort wise just a few features go a long way. Atom is essentially a motorcycle you drive feature wise. Cold? you get cold. Rain? you get wet (actually wetter and colder than a bike on which you at least have proper gear typically). Caterham is a transformer in regards to elements. Some Brits drive them year round, including winter (few crazies). Summer? No windshield, no doors (maybe half doors). A little colder or want highway? Put windshield on. Rain? Put a half hood on. Rain and cold? Half hood and doors and then turn on your heat. Etc. As far as storage, its laughably small but it's still more storage than Atom if you want to plan a long drive.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I'll proceed that way. Puncture insurance is secured either way with a backup set of OEM 10 spoke 15s
  5. Which one of you ordered the last set of 185 Avon ZZS's??? Backup/main tires are on the way. ZZS for the rear, ZZR for the front. Not that big a deal (correct me if I'm wrong) Only debate at this point is to whether (likely) kill the Toyo rears on the track or change before hand and change there or change before hand and figure out time to finish the Toyos on the street later.
  6. Something different Lots going on here https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1985-caterham-7/
  7. Do you know where to? How long ago?
  8. Yes it has been done. I've done a few wrap jobs but never a seven yet. Overall seven will be pretty easy with exception of hood (slats are killer) and nose cone. Professionals are able to do nose cone in one piece. I don't think I'd be able to do it like that.
  9. Seller also has "salvage" as a tag in the bottom Could be insignificant or could be relevant especially with your comments on what appears to be damage
  10. That does seem like quite a bargain.C Croc in the other thread I saw the video that talked about CSR's being made in S3 chassis? I've never seen that. I though they were too narrow for inboards and were only made in SV?
  11. Your messages are full. Feel free to mail me at vovchandr@gmail.com with what you like to consider reasonable.
  12. There is also this you can download with ease https://locost7.info/gearcalc.php?fbclid=IwAR1qQcjz84t6o7dhEhAoKv17AhjS71coqQgYwTCmbW4zOPi0PefApeT9JlY
  13. Thanks. I run out of gearing at about 120mph or less 3.62 rear diff 1:1 6th 225/45/13 ~7300rpm redline My rear tires a little small overall diameter but these are the best I can get from Toyo. Avons will be better fitted.
  14. For you all aero screen people. How many are switching to windshields/doors? I'm expecting it to be quite brisk. I'm still aero in NY but mornings and evenings get very cold very quick.
  15. Yes please buy them so I can stop justifying buying them just for the wiring harness
  16. Hi and welcome. Photos are much appreciated to help tell the story! Do you have any questions about possible options on the new build? Whether it be aero screen, weather proofing (PNW after all), etc
  17. Can't say I've ever seen foglights setup on a 7. Those look clean!
  18. Got a few dents removed by a PDR guy after procrastinating on that appointment for too long. It was amazing to see him work and was quite humorous to see his reaction to working on aluminum. Removing dents from the hood was... interesting. For removal hood needs to be well secured in the location to apply force to it. Obviously it can't be on the car. Had to create a stand out of saw horses, straps, jack stands, 2x4's etc and it worked. Overall not perfect but worlds better. Some areas were particular difficult. Most were on curves. Life pro tip. SECURE STUFF IN YOUR "trunk". Also i recommend the padding from SBFS
  19. Does anybody know if NJMP lodging is pet friendly?
  20. These cars happen to enjoy the same benefit as a muscle car with a loud exhaust. Cops tend to look the other way. NY is notoriously bad for fining people for no front plate and even after being pulled over twice they havent even mentioned it.
  21. Fairfield Marriot Millville Vineland
  22. I was pleasantly surprised to have my hotel fee be 50% less for the new dates. :seeya:
  23. Ok I might have selected the wrong one as well. My +1 is just the pitcrew/nondriver guest for $50 Me I selected the top one "Guest application rate" ($350) Wording is indeed confusing. Are we Ok selecting the bottom one? "Member guest rate $225"?
