I love it , a supercharged, intercooled 100hp/liter pushrod engine.... those guys at Chevrolet cqn really create awesome engines. The Ferraris and Lambos will have to hide in the grass when the ZR-1 comes by. My plan for acquiring a ZR-1 is based heavily on lottery tickets.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The Ultralite is parked and awaiting spring. I changed the oil and oil filter a couple days ago, I felt I needed to do something to it, even if I only had 2000 miles on that batch of Mobil 1.

Caterham on a U-Haul Vehicle Trailer?
powderbrake replied to xflow7's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Here in Missouri, you are allowed to drive your car to the inspection. U haul also rents a front wheel dolly type trailer. Only the front wheels are off the ground. -
congrats on your retirement. Soon you will be busier than you ever have been. You will find ways to make a 2 hour job last at least 4 hours, while keeping busy. You will wonder how people who have to go to work every day, ever find time to do anything useful or fun. One bad part... you get so used to driving without rush hour traffic, that you can't understand what all those crazy people are doing on YOUR street, when you make the mistake of going to the hardware store at noon on Saturday. One really good part: When you go to the movies on Monday or Tuesday at the rush hour show at 4:00, you are the only people in the theater. Other good part: you can work on the se7en 24 hours a day. Other really good part: You are retired...... You can do it tomorrow!

I had always wondered what a tazer was like. I am so happy that I found out by reading your description, rather than trying it myself.

That guy is NUTS!!!!! Thank God for NUTS like him. It shows what determination and perseverence really means. And no profit motive either. True , it would have been easier to build a full scale model.

What is really funny is to actually read the postings on the Nebraska GM forum. Some guys are serious, some are getting the joke and many are swearing. It shows what happens to an unregulated forum. Lots of flaming and cursing. That could not happen here as all se7eners are gentlemen and ladies.

It looks like a penis with a santa hat..... i wouldn't squeeze it either.

Al: I have foam in my aluminum tank, and I use Stabil each winter. I can't comment on the bag, but I assume it's neoprene, and won't be affected by the Stabil. I don't worry about how full it is, I just add the Stabil. I have not had a problem with the injectors or the filters. I have two filters , one is clear, just exiting the tank, so I can see if there is crud in the gas, and the next filter is after the high pressure FI pump. If the foam was deteriorating I would see it in the first filter. Stabil also works great in my snow blower and in my leaf blower.

The question is...... Did he have faith in his code, or did he run it the first time with an empty seat?

The Top Gear guys have a fun time with cars. What a difference in attitude than here in the US. Here cars are BAD things, they pollute, they kill people, they are the root of all evil. Ever notice how when there is an accident , the news media always will make sure that if a guy is driving an SUV, you hear about it. Also the driver is never at fault, it's always the SUV, as if it had a mind of it's own.... " an SUV jumped the curb and hit a pedestrian" We need a car show like Top Gear, instead of 24 hours NASCAR, or ricer meets, where all they show is the T&A of the models. The show should be about cars as FUN items, with crazy matchups like the Bugatti and fighter.

I'm not sure if there is a rivalry, so much as a "friendly competition" Having met so many owners of different marques of sevens, I can attest to their friendliness and support. The Stalkers and Ultralites typically have a little more HP than some others, and they turned up at Run N Gun in more quantity, but the SR27 and turbo engined Locosts are their match or more in HP. Interestingly, the tires on the car seem to have the greatest effect on the lap speed. At a triathalon event like Run N Gun, the tires will even out the HP race. A lower HP seven on slicks will beat my Ultralite on street tires on the road course. Of course the better drivers also migrate towards slicks, have more experience, and that also has a huge effect on lap times. For a lot of good pics of Run N Gun, from a Cobra viewpoint, see the Run N Gun forum, and click on the pictures threads. Run N Gun forum -
I find the blue folder that indicates new posts and the "Today" or "Yesterday" info on the right side to be quite sufficient to find new posts that I wish to read.

THANKS DENNIS. Now I have the correct line for Gateway!!!! I had already picked up your line for the decreasing radius turn, now I'm looking at changing my line into 1 & 2. Can't wait for next year !! Yes, wings are legal. Your class is determined by type of tire ( stickiness) and engine size ( big block, small block, 4 &6, and power adder ( blown or nitrous) -
The price is right..... someone should jump on this one. I can tell you that the superstalkers ( superchaged V6's) are wicked fast.

Well, we had the drags. I wish I could say I won my class, but AGAIN , I was aced out by Justin in his Stalker:cry:  I wish I could use the excuse that I had a bad run, or that I missed a shift ( which I did) but...... his time slip was better than any I had run today. I guess that means I was just beat:cry: He took first place in Street 4&6 cyl, and I was second. I did beat Dennis Brunton on the drag strip:hurray: The fact that his tire blew up at the start, and that he did a 360 in my lane, and almost hit the wall should be ignored:cuss: I was at the finish line FIRST!!!! ( of course this was in the practice runs, but .... whatever.....) Dennis took the pro class drags and another I think Top Gun Paul Whittle took the "king of the Hill" drag trophy. This was bracket drags, and the last two cars were sevens ( Stalkers) The sevens were superbly represented, and were formidable opponents to all the Cobras, Mongooses, GT40's, Optimas, Dragons, and Daytona Coupes. For those of you who were not there, you missed a great event. The friendship, comraderie, and good will shown to the sevens ( and vice versa) was impressive. It was great fun, we made good friends, and to those of you who didn't enter..... you missed it..... but I got more track time!!!! There were 50+ cars registered, hopefully there will be more sevens next year. As I mentioned to one ( unnamed) cobra guy, who is building a Seven " Welcome to the Dark Side, Luke.... I am your Father" here are the pics of the sidepod http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/883984650_DSC_4493 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/342483084_DSC_4494 (Medium).JPG I didn't realize that Mark Scott was from Riley & Scott. Heck, I had a famous car builder at my house for sandwiches and beer, and I didn't know it. He is a regular guy, and didn't mention his background. I should have got his autograph. As a Corvette owner, I can only be impressed by the great job Riley & Scott did on the C5R which was so dominant in the sports car arena. ain't it cool who you meet as a result of being a seven owner? :d Like the Automobile article said...... SEVENS RULE :smash: -

The drags are saturday morning ( tomorrow) I'll report on Sat or Sun night. Here are some pics of sevens and some of the cars we were runing against on the track. Remember you run with a group depending on tires, not car type, so the 1000 hp twin turbo LS7 Ultima ran with the fast sevens ( and was run down by Dennis Brunton's superstalker. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1587061707_DSC_4293 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1492743684_DSC_4294 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1400828818_DSC_4295 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/756256554_DSC_4296 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1734538045_DSC_4297 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/630716878_DSC_4298 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/798713801_DSC_4299 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/212599706_DSC_4341 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2005853541_DSC_4353 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1952915124_DSC_4361 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/422846987_DSC_4370 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1745409436_DSC_4375 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/665264225_DSC_4378 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/297020660_DSC_4419 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/886576777_DSC_4444 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/489850942_DSC_4449 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/922565968_DSC_4457 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1277834645_DSC_4468 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/214106344_DSC_4478 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/187572467_DSC_4481 (Medium).JPG Remember the reason you see the sevens behind the Cobras, is that the Sevens are CATCHING the Cobras http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/149531564_DSC_4385 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1635364384_DSC_4389 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1594984867_DSC_4391 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1027404188_DSC_4405 (Medium).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1263185257_DSC_4447 (Medium).JPG
