  1. That's the way to do it!
  2. I was thinking about that as I have one of those petcock style drain plugs on one of my other cars.... maybe on the next oil change I'll try something. Thanks
  3. Group B was extreme! "... In the 1986 season Henri Toivonen lapped the Estoril circuit in a Lancia Delta S4 during the Portuguese rally. His fastest lap would have qualified him in the sixth position of the F1 Grand Prix that same season."
  4. After grinding my oil pan down once and seeing Kevin do the same at Buttonwillow I had a skid plate made up. Quarter inch aluminum plate.. only lost about 1/2in of clearance. I do have to undo 6 bolts to change the oil (small price for piece of mind). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1947019395_Lotus shock bracket 003.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1036560826_IMG_2173.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1422298942_IMG_2172.JPG
  5. That looks like a great car.... And Ford won't deliver it here in the U.S. Hence the rant. Then again, I don't know how many Americans would spend 35 grand on a Focus. But even if they only brought over 500 or so (which they could probably sale just for the exclusitivy) it would do wonders for Ford's image in that segment.
  6. Seems weird that GM can built an awesome corvette but can't translate that knowledge into high performance small cars.
  7. Welcome Pretty far from the Bay Area but if your ever in the neighborhood or have a question (though I'm one of the least mechanically inclined here)... I do have 225/45/17 & 275/40/17 on 8 & 9 inch wheels with backspace of 35mm in front & 43mm in rear. They may be a bit overkill (was looking at a supercharger but lots of $$$) they fill out the fenders nicely. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1688721350_mine at racetrack.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/291777362_motorcycle gear 012.jpg
  8. It's funny how everyone is taken back by how small my Ultralite is.... I need to whip out that pic. Your really shoulder to shoulder in a standard size 7
  9. got mine too
  10. Like your lighting etc...
  11. I had a Europa and always wished I would of gotten an Elan instead. But after replacing the electrical system, new interior, paint, hopped up motor... I just didn't have it in me to go thru another Lotus.... and I married that girl 24 years ago:cool:

  14. a classic but still funny Old is just Old - Old is not Dumb ! A strong young man at a construction site was bragging that he could out do anyone in a feat of strength. He made a special case of making fun of one of the older workmen named Royce. After several minutes, the older worker had enough. 'Why don't you put your money where your mouth is,' he said. 'I will bet a week's wages that I can haul something in a wheelbarrow over to that building that you won't be able to wheel back.' 'You're on, old man,' the braggart replied. 'Let's see you do it.' The old man reached out and grabbed the wheelbarrow by the handles. Then, nodding to the young man, he said, 'All right, Dumb Ass, get in.'
  15. I saw one video where the guy hits the side of the mountain, pulls his chute and ends up in the bushes on the side of a cliff and ends up with a broken leg (lucky I guess)....
  16. Bakersfield's Circuit City store was their #1 store (in our paper today). Sad that a store that was doing well locally gets shut down. I think the internet and no tax has made a big impact.... the tax thing may be changing soon. On the upside you can get the exact item you want on the web while they might not have that particular model in the store. On the downside, you better hope you know exactly what you want because there's little customer service/expertise and you can't see/touch it. Sign of the times I guess.
  17. Just dont drive at night:jester:
  18. I thought the price was a bit stiff but figured how many is this guy going to really sale compared to the investment so that's how I rationalized it;) The deal is that it's only about an inch and a quarter in width. I doubt you'll find something that narrow anywhere else as that's not an issue with "regular" size cars. Plus I don't really need to put on the side mirrors now. Slightly illegal I know, but in California I probably have the same chance of getting pulled over for no front license plate (which never happens here though I got pulled over 3 times in Idaho for no front plate but that's another story).
  19. I just got this mirror and think I'm going to like it.... much better than the mirror I had clipped on to the top of the frame (was a mirror you clip to a visor to see your infant in the back seat:lol: ) http://www.mirrorsforsevens.com/specs2.htm
  20. My neighbor (little old lady) has 3 or 4 Great Dane show dogs... takes them to events in a big motorhome. They're freakin huge!
  21. I thought I remembered you got it last year... Funny, I had to do the BAR without the SB100 about 6 months ago. It's a breeze... basically they type in some particulars and do a sniff test.
  22. Yeah.... This is what I need;) http://www.coolshirt.net/racing-club-system24.html
  23. nice cars:yesnod: surprising how much room is really in a mini
  24. Martin, Locost 5.0 shot this for me. I'm sure it's alright. I think it would be kind of cool for a calendar as it has my street car and Kevin's race car (though technically his is a street car too). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/464686613_mine at racetrack.jpg
  25. Rod, You'll have to see what the DMV will let you do until January (probably register as a temp so you can get insurance etc.... But don't wait until Jan 2nd to apply. My DMV had all the paperwork done the week before and started calling for 2 of us at 8am sharp. A 3rd person came in that morning and I don't think he got his. Not sure if all DMVs allow this.
