  1. Bumping this as my kit arrives soon. Anyone have some they used for a build that they don't need anymore? Looking for this style:
  2. BMW s1000xr. Currently carless. Waiting on the 7 kit arriving shortly for weekend toy.
  3. Even after $17k in upgrades? And the BAT scarcity tax? I wouldn't be surprised if it went for much more.
  4. Cool car but I can't say I approve of the lane discipline.
  5. I have size 12 feet (at 6'1" and 185ish), and I had a test-fit in an S3. With racing shoes, pedal spacing was not an issue for me. I barely fit the Tillett seats though. The test car did not having lowered floors though, which I did order on my kit, which I will have soon I hope.
  6. Ya I saw that 620R video and wondered why it was priced so high... I actually thought it maybe was an older pre-brexit video when prices were much higher.
  7. yeah me too - always wondered how it would've compared to the R500
  8. I guess it was a short honeymoon...
  9. Yeah I'm not saying i would pay that much, just that I'm not surprised someone would.
  10. Bruce quoted me $7k to assemble a 420R. That's reasonable, but it's not nothing.
  11. That was a kit, not a car. Just sayin'.
  12. Yeah but you wouldn't have it TODAY. Time is money for some people.
  13. Hmmmmm- I've seen a few UK builds using these: https://cjautosheywood.co.uk/product/mobile-axle-stands-nylon-wheels-cm05c/ I guess they aren't popular in the states. I've read that it makes putting the motor in much easier, because you can move the car instead of the hoist. But I'm sure I can do without.
  14. I see in all the build blogs, people recommend building the car on wheeled axle stands. I can't find any American dealers for them - did anyone buy some for their 7 build? If so, where can I find them stateside (without having to pay for shipping from UK) Thanks Tyler
  15. Sorry, embed not working for some reason.
  16. I like the look of the CF rear wing protectors, so I am going to put them on. My plan is also to apply bedliner to the inside of the rear wings to try to stop star cracks from forming.
  17. My 420R kit is arriving soonish and I'm planning on wrapping the nosecone and body sides with PPF (aka clearbra film) to help with stone chips. Also plan on doing the fiberglass rear fenders. My front fenders are unpainted CF. I have read that the CF doesn't get chipped up the way that paint does. Same for the CF rear fender protectors. Is this true? Or should I have the bare CF parts wrapped as well? Thanks
  18. Looks pretty pushy. Is that car setup or down to driving style?

  20. FYI there definitely is a "track" suspension option. It slots between the "sport" and "race" options. It is available as an option on R pack cars. Check the UK configurator. I have spec'd it on my soon to arrive 420R kit. Unfortunately, no one seems to know the spring rates of these options, but one would assume the rates get higher as you go up the 4 different suspension options, with appropriate damping to match.
  21. Ok this worked. Went to site settings and said to allow insecure content and things look normal again. Thanks
  22. My view looks like SanderGA's screenshot. Checked firefox; looks fine. So it's a chrome issue I guess. I will see if there's a fix. It used to work fine.
  23. Anyone else having issues with the forum displaying correctly? It is not showing up as vbulletin style forum- it looks like a message board from 1998. This issue is only on PC (using chrome or edge). The forum looks fine on my phone with mobile chrome. It's been like this for a few weeks now.Thx
  24. No help with customs, but I just ordered a set from Demon Tweaks and they arrived quickly without issue.
  25. What case do you use for the 680? Is there an aftermarket solution, or do you have to fab it up? I'd like to go with a light battery on my upcoming build but not sure what the best/easiest solution is.
