  1. Is anyone going to the Pittsburgh Vintage G.P. / Car Show Saturday? http://www.pittsburghvintagegrandprix.com/pvgp/site/default.asp It is a great setting. Gary
  2. I have one in mine for the GPS & detector.
  3. I think it could be : Ground (white wire) Tail (running light) R ind / Brake L ind / Brake I wired the R & L together and hooked it to the brake wire. Due to the bias on my brakes I need to add a brake light switch to the F brakes so my brake light is on ALL the time the brake is.
  4. Scannon, You find the 300 KIAS on the ship on the way to the USA!
  5. The trailer has 15" wheels. Gary
  6. Roman, I did an all aluminum trailer from: http://www.alumaklm.com Between the low isides about 10" H. It has 78" X 12' flat bed area. I also have the bifold ramp. I cut most of the center of the ramp out for oil pan & gearbox to clear. I think mine has 2700 GVW & an empty weight of 700 LBS. I pull it with an 6cyl. XLT F150 & auto. It was an instock item at the dealer W/O brakes. If I get rid of the F150 & do a Jetta TDI I would add brakes to it. I think it was $2500. With the 1220 LB Birkin on it is fine at any speed. Gary
  7. I use wrap around sun glasses if I have the windshield on. With the homemade aero shield it is goggles or a helmet if there is rain.
  8. Bob, my RV-4 is a VFR airplane and it looks like thunderstorms for the trip over. If I parked next to that turbo of yours with my light 7 it could get sucked in through your induction. Congratulations to all of you people who have children graduating this year. It was an emotional time for me, when ours did. Looking over our shoulder and seeing what we are leaving in our place is the true mark of who we are & what we did. Mine sure as H*** bailed me out!
  9. We wear goggles when we have the windshield off, and an helmet for rain.
  10. Yes that would be much better than last year!
  11. Well I now have a new roof, so I think we would be up for this.
  12. Last year at the hotel in Carlisle one night, someone leaned on or pulled pulled on my windshield. Now at some point I will need to replace the broken heated windshield.
  13. Due to my low skill level, I just cut the standard side screens off below the windows. The original protruding rear area for elbow room helps while driving. There isn’t enough room for autoX events though. This was after I purchased another weather kit from another Birkin owner.
  14. That was to & from last year! I thought a roof would be nice for this year, AC for next?
  15. I'm not sure, I think my car could be at the shop for a new roof. Gary
  16. Here is a link to a free daily email of one or two cars for sale each day. Some need the trailer to bring home, others are original drivers. It also has some interesting reading at times. http://bringatrailer.com/ Gary
  17. WestTexasS2K, those look lights are very nice. With the height of your shop, you need a lift. I found a great deal on Craigslist, (for a lift). It is a 2 post lift and is great all jobs, best money I ever spent. Gary
  18. I just saw this listed on ebay 23HRS to go! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-Lotus-Super-7-Ultralite-S2K-Estate-Vehicle-1-owner_W0QQitemZ200332499862QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item200332499862&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A7%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Estate sale! Gary
  19. I just scheduled a new taller roof to be built for the Birkin today. That should let a little less rain in. Now if I just have it by Carlisle. Gary
  20. Kyle, Great news, now the fun starts. I would think Dick could hook you up with a 30 day tag. If you drive it home, the adventure starts then. Get some good ear plugs (wind noise). I purchased a very light aluminum trailer for mine, but I enjoy driving it too much to use the trailer. Dick is a great person for support as well, you have done well. :>) Gary
  21. I will try, likely on a trailer this year. Sliding around on the rain drive last year is still too fresh in my mind. I do have my RT615's though for rain. Due to family functions I had to back off from the National in AL. Gary
  22. Bruce, I did the same on my clutch pad. it sure is better as there is no room for a dead pedal. Gary
