  1. Not that I don't applaude your "push back" reaction, but posting it here in public may have jeapordized your "hit and run" claim. No end of internet stories of lawyers finding all sorts of stuff while scraping the web as part of their fact-finding ....
  2. why on earth would you want to ?? :-)
  3. Just the one, see second line of first post. Might be spoken for though, awaiting reply on whether shipping across country is affordable (I suspect not). You have next dibs, but sounds like you want 4?
  4. For extra foot room, consider reshaping the floor under your heels to drop it down an inch or so by cutting out the flat piece and replacing it with a tray. Tall guys do a similar thing under their seats to lower its mountings. For shoes, buy race boots. The key is in the specific heel shaping of the boot for cars like ours where legs are almost parallel to the ground. The narrowness is also a bonus.
  5. No license required... no training required... yeah, what could go wrong ??
  6. 13 x 6 Panasport rim for standard Caterham, fits typical Spitfire front or Ital/Ford rear, maybe others. NEVER USED, its perfect! (just the one that rides along as the spare, not the whole set). Offers well over $100 considered. Thanks for looking.
  7. Funny thing, this modern technology... 20 years ago if someone had described cell phones and GPS to you, you'd have said "science fiction, it'll never happen". Now, when these toys we take for granted are less than perfect, we get all cranky :-)
  8. yup, I'm pretty sure current wisdom is that Vike's landed in Labrador a few hundred years ahead of ol' Chris... :-)
  9. You are aware of course, that the guy that you (perhaps erroneously) think actually discovered America was Spanish....
  10. Is this close? http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/searchfmm/search_cat.php?cat=1&sub=75&sc1=&sc2=HP-2%20Series&sc3=&sc4=
  11. Yer all wrong, THIS is a prisoner wheel :-)
  12. how about over-the-top? (no affiliation, found while browsing) http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page.php/carno/75962
  13. yup, standard location, but calling it an e-brake is a mistake, since driver cant reach it under any circumstances :-) mine's a "parking brake" , accessible only once seat belts released. cheers
  14. I've been using the "US General" (which is made in china...) for light shop duty use for years. Reliable so far. I might suggest that if you truly need to lift 6000 pounds regularly, a steel unit might be a better choice anyway.
  15. Motorcyclists balaclava... ... just don't walk in to a 7-11 forgetting you have it on, gets them very agitated. (true story)
  16. In deference to not getting banned from this website, I'll just say: " to each their own, not to my taste " ....
  17. LOL ! yeah, and Caterham said it would take me 60 hours to build my full size car..... ... what they don't say is that it assumes the crates you receive contain ALL the parts you will need, and further assumes that all the parts you receive are actually applicable to the model you ordered; don't get me started again :-)
  18. In researching the potential value, I came across this: http://www.modelersite.com/PDF_Fotos_VII/Caterham.htm yikes ! (for me, if the value is indeed less than the kit cost, then I'll keep it for sure; no risk of later regret) :-)
  19. thanks for the interest, but lets make the second bid at least 500, or am I dreaming? there's over 150 hours labor in this alone :-)
  20. Classy act! .... and clever too; think how little this actually cost them relative to standard advertising campaigns; inexpensive and massive goodwill value; smart!
  21. Gents, I need cash for full-size engine parts. What do you think this immaculately finished example is worth? Thanks
  22. I guess it's "to each their own". For me, $50k should buy a much higher spec Caterham, or a much-closer-to-original Series 2 Lotus, not a medium blend of both. :-)
  23. Well said. God-speed, Graham....
  24. You could spend all day trying to explain the 'error' to the advertising agency that drempt that up, and they still wouldn't get it !!!
  25. Seriously, what would possess anyone to spend 12 hundred bucks on a pair of headlights ? sure, add lightness (pun intended), but OMG !
