  7. Re: vehicle history from Caterham... When I was having build problems with my '02 kit, and had given up on the dealer I bought the kit from ever being helpful, I contacted Caterham directly with the VIN off the chassis and sales documents, and they claimed my car didn't exist LOL
  8. your 7 didnt sell after all?
  9. no disrespect, but did you consider the consequences of a burst tire on the oval, and meeting the wall in our flimsy tube-frame devices????

    GMC Truck

My 1999 Chevy truck had the same issue. Was the level sensor/sender, but to my dismay I learned the sender was integral with the pump!! (and they wanted over a grand just for the part). Fixed it with electrical tape over the light and tracked the mileage between fill ups :-)
  11. Backrest and two seat cushions available as a set only. This is naugahyde, maybe vinyl (?), not leather. Near perfect condition except for 1/4" diameter blemish on one seat (visible in photo). Surface texture only, not a puncture. Looks to me like a cigarette touched it very briefly. Open to sensible offers. Shipping from 31322. (photo won't load, file likely too big, will try another tomorrow)
  12. Just to be clear, the pieces I refer to in my post above only apply to the thin, stamped steel rocker covers.
  13. exactly ! :-)
  14. Do either of those two guys in the suits look like "Lotus guys..." ??? I agree, the end game has started.
  15. When we build Kent's for our Formula Fords, we use "finger blocks" under the four bolts that hold the rocker cover on, effectively giving 8 point loads instead of four, with smaller gaps between the pressure points. Standard parts available from places like BAT, Pegasus, etc
  16. "west/east logistics" ?? heck, call Passport Transport, give them a grand over the phone, and the car appears in your driveway as if by magic.... has worked for me many times.
  17. call Dave at Britain West, he knows crossflows inside out
  18. I'll take one configured for right hand drive please. Ian in Savannah GA. ianmacp777 * gmail * com
  19. no worries.... I will be very surprised if birkin and caterham doors are interchangable however.....
  20. good chance of free, duty-free (nudge nudge, wink wink) shipping up to Ontario, but need to decide this week.
  21. for a start, don't use the stock Caterham Aldon, the advance curve is all wrong, not nearly enough advance for street use.
  22. see my avatar, engine on inboard side for weight distribution, disposable driver on concrete wall side.....
  23. Friend up in Connecticut has a full Zetec service engine, brand new on the pallet direct from Ford. Complete from pan to flywheel to head to manifolds to ignition coils, but no ECU. Also has a fully rebuilt 2009(?) long block, pan to head; no manifolds or anything else though. Offers on either or both?
