Rear uprated ("race") brake upgrade finally done
S1Steve replied to KnifeySpoony's topic in General Tech
Croc and I discussed this few weeks ago. I couldn’t get my head around it then and still don’t. Now that Mike is getting into it, we’ll find out the final solution. My thoughts to Mike were why.. WTF, they did what..🤔🤔🤣🤣 -

Upgrade your Caterham for Christmas, I like your style.. You picked a nice one..🍻
-
Well Done, looks great..
-
Maybe call your local Caterham dealer( Bruce). 🤣 See if he can answer your long stay question. I looked it up this afternoon ( I’m retired and have plenty of free time) . I see wing stays but no details on length. So I’m assuming their all the same depending on what chassis it’s being used for… It is nice having a nice little Tig welder at the house…🤣🤣

Much better pictures, seems like you may have gone overboard on how much tire can be stuffed under the cycle fender. Maybe your idea of bending the stay back inboard. But then the fender will be out of place…. 🤔🤔
-
First off, From one Seven Nut to another you’re doing an amazing job getting this together. Second , you need to make the stay longer, Shimming up the cycle fender will not fix your problem. Continue on Sir..🤣🤣🤣🍻🍻

Help picking a tow vehicle and trailer for my Caterham
S1Steve replied to savagete2860's topic in General Sevens Discussion
That’s the same brake controller that I have used on 3 different vehicles I’ve towed with. I thought it was expensive when I bought it. It works well, without any problems…. So well worth it.. -
Toyo’s are a great tire on the street. I’ve also been caught in the rain , and no problems….

Just to back up MV8’s post. Photo is out of the Superformance Installation Manual. Engine kit came with a Geo alternator. Similar idea in small packaging. Maybe this will help.

Stick with the 888, and get a better alignment.

I would start with looking at parts availability. Second, add up the parts cost and you’ll have that number. Labor cost will be different depending on who performs the work. I highly recommend resurfacing the fly wheel while you have it apart… and installing new ARP flywheel hardware…. Good Luck..

I'm offering $100 to anyone who can solve my car's nightmarish issues
S1Steve replied to Ted7's topic in General Tech
Morning Ted, I had a similar problem years ago with my 7. Something is loose or better yet rubbing in the wire harness, that may have worn a wire down to the copper .In my case it was under the dash. Fuel pump wire was in between the bell housing and the passenger side of a frame tubing.. Start looking at your wiring… Your problem sounds very similar…. Hope you find the solution.. -
Mug today, stickers and shirt on Wednesday…. Test this mug in the a.m… Thanks again to all involved…
