  1. Congrats , really what I wanted in a 7 18 years ago when I went on my hunt. One big problem with those early cars. Me.. enjoy the ride....
  2. I’ve had a ride in this car “pre” Texas event, and it was one of the finest engineered 7 I’ve seen. I’m sure now it’s even better. It’s a beast on track, been passed by it many times..LOL... Good Luck Shane.
  3. Thanks for the info, let us your thoughts on their performance when you put them to the track. My 888s are holding up great, a few track days and lots of street use. I’m good on tires for years now, I was given a almost new set of P-Zero N 3s . Im looking for new wheels to mount them on. Good Luck
  4. Nice, what’s the wear rating on the side of the tire say...
  5. Clark, Maybe a call to Tom Carlin, Birkin Dealer-Importer in Colorado can give advice.I’m assuming you have a Type9 transmission bolted up to a custom bellhousing made by or for Birkin . This may have something to do with getting a proper replacement. Tom’s coming to our track weekend at NJMP , I’d be happy to ask him for you and get that info back to you. He may have started his long tow east to New Jersey...
  6. That was fun to watch, Congratulations....
  7. Skip, those yellow devices are inside diameter lineup clamps. I used them on the pipeline many times. Really cool piece of equipment..

    Lime Rock Park

Hi Bud, Afew weeks ago I read it was a non-spectator event. But things may have changed. I was trying to find a replacement for Watkins Glen weekend. Looking forward to see your newest 7 sometime. Enjoy Steve..
  9. RBZ, I think it looks like great 7, low miles, good spec . If I thought I needed another one, this one would get a closer look. By that I mean I’d be off to Florida to inspect , drive, and my big question would be who built it. But maybe I missed that . Good Luck in your journey..
  10. I pulled out the transmission tunnel, It was worth it. It’s pretty easy to pull it..
  11. i also had a SN95 Mustang Cobra like this one, mine was setup a little more track oriented compared to this one. Big- Heavyweight Tank that didn’t like slowing down. 11 track weekends with no damage. I’ll put some blame on The Officials running the drivers meeting for not hammering the meaning of flagging and warmup laps.. how do you explain this to your Insurance Agent. Croc will chime in on that question...
  12. I had the opportunity to drive Mazda’s LS powered 7 out at the Carlisle car show we all use to attend. It was a bit rough, but stupid fast. After the pole mishap, he gave it away.... Shame that had some potential.. Hey Croc, your over do for a proper Banning.Lol
  13. Ah, I just texted you, I take back all the nasty things I just called you for not responding quickly enough... LOL

    New Build

First off, Congratulations on your 7. It’s been a while for a new build thread on this forum, I would love to see anything you deem fun , informative, or maybe something you have a question about. So I say post up, I have plenty of time to look at pictures. Lol. One of the joys of being retired.. my first question is we’re did you source the engine? I read the transmission is Mazda...
  15. Thanks for sharing Bud, that’s an interesting article. That would be a great upgrade for my S1, but I guess I’d run in to the same problem with fitting it in the already tight S1 chassis. Enjoy building your new Seven..
  16. Just get me a cool tee shirt and I’ll give you a hall pass for being late with list..

We’re going diving tomorrow inMexico, looking for Whale sharks. Should be fun to see something the size of a school bus swim next to you.
  18. Sorry I’m late.. installed my engine per the manual and you’ll have no problem.Did mine once 16 years and 24000miles ago...
  19. Hi Mike, I saw Glen’s car down at Croc’s garage at NJMP this spring for a Lotus gathering. It’s really nice and reliable. About as new as your going to get.Glen has the skills, knowledge and money to do a resto correctly. You know you really need this now that you retired... I didn’t drive it because Croc was kind enough to let me loose in his Ferrari.. Have a great weekend..
  20. Hi RR. I also have the trusty Zetec in my S1. Have you replaced the fuel filters yet, give us some details about your engine setups and maybe we can have a easy fix.
  21. I’m crushed, I just went back and forth with him last week. We have lost a great member of our community. And a real gentleman. Rest In Peace.
  22. I’m guessing it’s the car advertised in Grassroots magazine. It certainly is a new 7 , 600+ miles in 5 years. I would think it’s in the middle 50 range. My only concern would be the lack of mileage. Is it sort out properly. Sitting does them no good. But I highly doubt you’ll find a nicer one . Good luck with your decision.
  23. Congratulations, you bought a wild ride.
  24. Mike, Taylor Race Engineering Plano Tx. One of the best in the business.
  25. Never Seize on the plug threads on a aluminum head is what your supposed to do. It also collects dirt.. a few things to think about. New plugs , fresh gas, and maybe the O2 sender is crapped up or not working. It’s this how it ran when you got it??
