  1. Off to Frenchtown with boltcutters and a trailer to pick up my new Mini.
  2. Betsy and I are planning on going to LOG 33. See you at the bar, we'll get the first round..
  3. MightyMike, Your new car looks great, and is coming along nicely. I was offered the chance to drive a vette engined 7 a few years ago, and can tell you this. Your going to love planting your right foot. I think the horsepower number was around 440. Plenty !!! Please keep the build photos coming... Steve
  4. Super slow in your 7, is warp speed in mine....
  5. I have all the pieces fit up and can now start welding things up. I hope its not any louder than the old one.
  6. I really liked Karls cage, easy to get into( After Karl showed me hows its done). And once in, I don't remember banging into it out on the track,no bruises the next day. The build quality is excellent, nice tig welds, nice bends. Its the safest I ever felt in a 7. And it has those killer Tillet seats, which fit me like a glove. Which is a nice feature for two guys well over 6 feet. It may be expensive, but your worth it.
  7. To late I'm already there.....
  8. TwoBone, Your right, throw in a few more madmen and it gets even more bonkers... Really cool to watch..
  9. Thanks for the replys. The 02 bung will move away from the head by two feet. I posted a photo of the old header. From what I read there will be no affect by the extra length. Martin thats were I planned on putting it, only because that looked like the best place to weld it, and as you said it will be out of the way. So it seems like I am on the right track. Ask first, drill and weld second.. Thanks for the help, Steve
  10. I bought a new Caterham SV header, and a new R 300 muffler and thought I show how its is working out. The header fits great. To get it thru the side of the body I did some sheet metal work. ( I always said I would never do any body mods, Yea right..) One remaining piece is a slip on collector or a flange to match the header, and a o2 outlet. Where is the best place in the system for the O2 outlet. Steve
  11. Good Stuff....
  12. Seems like a nice S1. I would buy it ( Its a good price), Drive it, Forget about fixing the hood. You'll never see it from the drivers seat.... Good Luck.....
  13. Big Thanks to Tom and Croc for the invite. Thanks to Karl for letting me add counter weight to his 7 and get to enjoy the new F1 style shifter. You forget the cold when you get in the seat next to Karl and Mike... LOL Happy Thanksgiving to all, Steve
  14. Nice idea, warm weather = washing cars and stacking firewood.. Saw your post to late....
  15. Thats funny Oz....
  16. Back home with everything working. Sandy blew down some fence around the pool. Both homes on both sides have big trees in their back yards, so we got off easy. Hope things get better for the rest of you guys...
  17. Thats great news Roman, you paid your dues with that SOB.... See you sat.
  18. After 3 days of no power, hot water, heat, and no way of cooking. Betsy , myself, and the dog have moved out of our house and in the inlaws house. And the best part is the inlaws are in Hawaii for a month. Alot of damage around Ambler and some to our place. PECO said they are days away from getting our area powered up. No one died around our area, so I say we are very lucky. And the kit car comment is just to bust someones balls, and see who's going to take the bait.... Happy to hear everyone is good... Steve
  19. The GT40 comes as a rolling chassis, your car came as a kit. Just ask, I'll set you straight.
  20. Mike, Your really going to like your new Superformance GT 40...
  21. Nice post.. Thanks for sharing and for the invite to Spa.....
  22. Reports from LBI say it also has the ocean and bay meeting. And that happened early in the morning. High tide at 2.00 pm today, so its going to be a mess. Stay safe, Steve
  23. Bruce, The Seneca Lodge is a cool place to stay. Its a bit old and rustic, but has a cool bar with loads of racing history hung all over the walls. And I have always found the food to be pretty good.I have had many great times at the Glen, some I can talk about.. Enjoy the trip. Steve
  24. This only gives you more time to stock up on beer..
