Lew, Some folks, in this litigious world, are concerned about weighing in on this topic. Ie “he told me I didn’t have to check X and that caused me to crash”. Etc. so please do not take this as gospel. the generic stuff to bring and check can be googled. https://help.trackdays.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/21364134720925-What-Should-I-Bring-to-a-Track-Day#:~:text=Water and snacks - it's thirsty work, your car which you cannot complete the Caterham specific I think the big thing is making sure you are conforming to track rules and state laws with safety equipment. New Jersey (where I track often) seems to be one of the tougher tracks/states not sure about MI. Nj Requiring dated belts, arm restraints and hans devices. I would check on the track website or with someone who has run there and ask. Specifically about convertible restrictions. Tracks often have instructors that can be requested /required for first timers. It’s great to utilize them if avail. They can help with the basics at first and help improve your driving skills down the road. take it slow. These cars are great driving spirited and you will have fun even if you are slower than many. Everyone out there likely remembers their first time out so people are usually very understanding if aren’t doing everything perfectly. Different tracks and track day operators have different cultures and first timer support. Ask around about your track and whomever is running the event. good luck

Not that specific one. But I just got a safety lanyard for my go pro that would likely work. https://a.co/d/hxtZNzt or similar

That seems to be my understanding. Again limited first hand knowledge. I actually bought the spacer but haven’t installed it (or know if there is one currently installed ).caterham = Keeping the mystery alive.
-
Left side tunnel clearance seems to be a thing. (Since I was inept I don’t have first hand knowledge of this). But some of the other build blogs discuss. Leaving engine mounts loose to adjust. https://caterham420detailedbuildblog.co.uk/2019/10/28/engine-install/ https://purplemeanie.co.uk/index.php/2017/09/02/build-session-12-bonnet-delivery-gearbox-move-and-engine-bay-first-fix/ https://www.caterham7diaries.com/post/look-back-at-the-engine-install some discussions about vertical clearance to the chassis rail. Some have added a caterham spacer to trans mount. But not super clear of its effect. https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/forums/topic/275387-nvh-placement-of-gearbox-in-transmission-tunnel/ https://caterhamparts.co.uk/fittings/7111-gearbox-mount-spacer.html

My gator slips over the handle (just barely). Get the gator collar to slip over the handle. It’s fiddly but works. Not sure if you have an aftermarket handle or a overly tight gator
-
I got away with not loosening the handbrake cable.
-
I can’t shed much light on the big items. But the handbrake should just slide out of the gator. Raise the handbrake as high as you can and then raise the tunnel cover from the back and slightly slide it forward. Some folks on the forum say they had to loosen the handbrake cable (by diff / rear dedion ) to raise it enough. But I was able to get it done without that.

Looks great on the site. Kudos to all involved and thank you for the efforts. Well done.

Don’t want to jinx it but long range weather forcast looks promising. For those who were waiting pull the trigger. -
Old thread to start you down the rabbit hole. And more

I used command strips as a temp solution when I picked up my car. And a silicone surround. Then I got a real bracket from Josh at Rocky Mountain caterham. Love it. still use the surround to keep things from rattling QUANQIUFEI 2 Pack Black License... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CC915JZ5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share this was before I put the bracket on

Please don’t quote me on if this one is the best or if it fits.

I added this from @das76 install was super easy plug and play. I mounted them on the outer roll bar vertical. Made hiding the wires easy and it’s just below my half hood. (Note: after about a little less than a year I did have a couple of led burn out. By happenstance I had the exact same kind of led that came with the kit and swapped it out - $10 on Amazon). I think there are some threads about full halo drl aftermarket’s. Can’t seem to find them at the moments but they are here somewhere.

The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale

I think that second caterham down in fla used to be Josh’s personal seven. Nice spec. -
I think 4 years new avons are fine for the street. The new kits are delivered with Toyo r888rs. Slightly taller sidewalls. But I am more versed in the 13” options then the 15” I run 13” wheels otherwise I would take those avons. If you’re hell bent on replacing them you could get a buyer here since they don’t make them anymore.

Flipped photo for laughs!!! Drive the seven. The way it was meant to be. 480 miles - I did that in the last two weeks! (Not for the faint of heart)

Welcome @Xhilr8n Well bought. Glad you have it out on the road. I still can’t figure out the flipped photos road trip to New Jersey week after next ? https://usa7s.net/ips//15430-2025-annual-hpde-hosted-by-njmp-drivers-club-june-1314-2025/#comment-149176

You could also check the "Caterham Super 7's and 7 owners in USA and Canada" on facebook. you might have to request to join but they also have an owners map. Sorry I would offer but I am in New York.
