  1. I suck at this. I like the silhouette. I think there is a site you can buyout the image for like $5.00. But would have to look into it more. USA7 Logo2 (dragged).pdfUSA7 Logo2 (dragged).pdfUSA7 Logo2 (dragged).pdfUSA7 Logo2 (dragged).pdfUSA7 Logo2 (dragged).pdfUSA7 Logo2 (dragged).pdf

  3. I can get you a better photo early next week. But here is one I have in hand. Heater cable run marked next to it in red. this was done by the factory (so 80% sure it’s correct).
  4. My factory built 420 has the heater pull knob (for valve) just to the right of the steering column. If my six point belts aren’t super tight I can just reach it when it’s pressed in. photo is upside down
  5. I would think that it triggers the warning light on the tach. Mine lights up if the handbrake is on (even slightly).
  6. I guess I haven’t updated this in a while. Well I wrapped up 2024 with just over 5,000 miles, 7 track days and lots of smiling. Had a little break in the weather and the roads mostly cleaned of salt. Headed up to mohonk preserve in the Shawangunk mountains. Some old friends in tow and some other seven owners along the way. Gonna have to keep it up with my hope to beat last years mileage. get em on the roads gentleman.
  7. I know a few folks were talking about this. Have not used it or had any direct feedback. But the reviews etc seem positive. https://gyraline.com/products/the-case?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAA9-yhqQI4TNRFN1itT7ASakSLigvK&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkN--BhDkARIsAD_mnIqf9c4dwpVIqPf3JkJyypZ7CsfQ1kRdnpNlVBIJyIKoy9qTirk-d1kaAoT7EALw_wcB
  8. Does a wet vs dry sump setup change the bypass valve pressure needs or sensitivity on the oil filter? I was running the Mann w77 on my Duratec 420 with dry sump but looked at the w712/83 (longer filter 59mm vs 72mm in length ) same bypass pressure of .8 bars. But I noticed some versions of the w712 also run a 2 bars bypass. would running something on a 2bar bypass change the situation and present any dangers. Just trying to understand how diligent I should be at matching oil filer bypass pressures.
  9. I brought mine to the carbs and coffee. Enough people asked me to take the bonnet off a couple times that I just pulled it off. I was parked on the grass so I was able to slide it carefully under the rear of the car. But I hear you on wondering about that. There was also a convenient tree nearby that I propped It against. I was walking around so not sure if anyone took not upon themselves to sit in the car. one prospective buyer for a 7 asked to sit in it. Which I accommodated. A bit of pay it forward I guess. it was a pretty smancey affair so everyone was pretty well behaved.
  10. Second that in soft bits. While my car is new bike 420 sv. And the size is more “standard”. I think they are pretty adept at customizing. double zip in entry on this one
  11. I bet that Italian is pro heater as an option.
  12. Assume it's titled as a Custom. Not sure if you want to mention that. It ended up saving me money on the insurance (Vs titled as Caterham). Im sure it differs from state to state. Sorry it didnt work out for you Arahant.
  13. Agree with John. I installed the Schroth profi ii. https://www.schrothracing.com/item/profi-ii-asm/fia-4-point-asm I thought I would use them as 4 pts on the road but have the crutch 6pt for track. But I run with the 6pts all the time. Don’t love the yellow tags. So I got the harness pads that are black with grey tags that match my car. Precious I know. they are a bit pricey but well made You can take the pads off and even the 3” shoulders work with Han’s.
  14. I clearly have a lot of catching up to do
  15. My 2023 caterham 420 was well north of 50k when it was all said and done. Not 90k but closer to that than 50.
  16. My importer up in buffalo found an upholsterer who did it. I can track down the name but don’t think it was a specialist. I works well
  17. I have the leather seats in my 420. And just had a hole cut thru the squab. It has worked well. I thought I would only use on track but now I run crutch all the time. It keeps the buckle located and is perfectly comfortable.
  18. Looks like scary fun!!!! Get some mileage on it by coming to New Jersey this summer.
  19. Catrem, catterham, cataham. I would think AI could spell better.

  21. On newer cars scuttle removal is usually done by drilling out the rivets and taking off the scuttle (leaving the firewall ) as lots of electronics attached and heater. Some older cars folks remove the scuttle and fire wall together disconnecting what’s needed. https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/forums/topic/186815-scuttle-removal/ if you drill out all the rivets you can replace with rivnuts for future removal
  22. Trying to motivate to make the run on Saturday. Going to be brisk.
  23. If it runs thru the 23rd. Maybe there is a weekend between now and then that has some seven friendly weather. Keeping an eye out.
  24. Here was a thread from last year. I was looking to stop blow thru on my 420R which was shooting directly thru the plastic breather bottle and down the bottom and side of the car. As a stop gap fix I adjusted the tubes into the breather bottle and that stopped it (pretty much). Track days are really the only problem. I might upgrade to one of the iridium units for some bling under the hood. They are pricey and some alts are cheaper but do not have any first hand knowledge on them. I think some of them can be configured to have a return or just vented to the outside.
