  1. A disappointing day for both teams.
  2. Super nice. Seeing wobbly webs like that makes me cry for the set my dad threw out.
  3. Lucky dog!
  4. The last few years I try to remember to always re-torque (actually I don't believe most shops torque anything they just hit it with an air tool) my wheels after a service.
  5. http://jalopnik.com/this-is-why-ill-never-build-a-kit-car-511030839 Comments are interesting
  6. Try http://www.rdent.com/ Look under Carburetor --> Linkage I had my linkage fail pulling out of a gas station in NJ. I nearly lost my Elan due to traffic. Once I got home to VA I purchased the low profile linkage. Never a problem since then.
  7. Lotus Owners Gathering 33 (LOG 33) Watkins Glen/Corning NY August 1-4 2013 In about 2 months, Lotus Owners from all over the USA, Canada as well as the rest of the world will be converging on Watkins Glen/Corning NY for the 33rd annual Lotus Owners Gathering. The LOG 33 committee is hoping you will join us for a Lotus filled weekend of Lotus cars and Lotus friends. For those of you are planning on attending, please remember that May 31st is the early bird deadline for registering for LOG 33. Your form and payment must be postmarked to Box L by May 31 to get the best discount for attending LOG. For those of you that are still on the fence so to speak, please join us. LOG is a great place to share Lotus memories with old Lotus friends and to make new Lotus memories with new Lotus friends. For the latest information on LOG 33 with updates on our many activities, please visit our website, as we are always striving to add and modify the content of the LOG weekend as new opportunities arise. Go to http://www.log33.com and http://www.lotusownersgathering.com and click on the "Last Minute News" page. The registration document can be downloaded by following this link. Some of the updates are as follows: Wine Tour The Wine Tour on Sunday was set up just to facilitate safe travel to the wineries so that no Lotus Owner was driving along the wine tour (obvious reasons) and the $45 charge just covers the transportation. There will be a $2 to $5 per person, per winery charge for those wishing to sample the wines, payable at the wineries. We have also added a stop for lunch at a cost of $20 per person, collected at the time of the lunch. Hotel The Radisson Hotel is booked full for Friday and Saturday. If you call the Radisson at 607-962-5000, mention Lotus Club or LOG 33 and they will put you on a waiting list. There are always changes but in the event the hotel stays booked full: The overflow hotels are as follows: Comfort Inn http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-corning-new_york-NY089 66 W Pulteney St, Corning, NY 14830 (607) 962-1515 Call (607) 962-1515 to make reservations. 8. What are the visual differences between the Tecalemit and Purolator oil filter housings on BMC 948 engines? I need to change the oil and filter and admit that I don't remember which setup is on the car.
  9. It might be an interesting market for one of the non-Caterham builders. It would certainly be fun.

    Zetec Details

Not something to stir confidence in the rest of the car.
  11. "We did a new body style that could fit a Caterham or Seven in 3D. Its a indy roadster style with a retro twist that could look cool on a chassis from a Caterham" http://newsblogg.viztech.se/2013/05/07/westfield-caterham-lotus-seven-conversion/
  12. Eat more cheese and the problem will go away!
  13. Replace the 2 fuse holder with a 4 fuse holder then allocate circuits to keep you running if something blows.
  14. One of the many cars I lust for is at TR250. So I too want some pictures.
  15. All is right in the world... Good.
  16. I like the harlequin VW Rabbits. A similar paint job on a 7 would be cool.
  17. To prep for plastic dip I think I would just go over it with an aggressive 3M scrunchy pad. It will provide plenty of tooth for the plastic dip. It is flexible so you shouldn't have issues with sanding flats in all the curvy bits. Good luck. Take lots of pictures of the process for us.
  18. Cool flag top.
  19. Nice photo.
  20. This is great! I always wanted to riot in the mud at Lime Rock during a F1 race. We need to start a Se7en USA gang then go beat up some Mercedes & Ferrari pukes.
  21. I received mine and am starting the read. Fun stuff we can all relate too.
  22. I have a Lotus Elan bike from the late 70s. The name was a total ripoff but it was enough to get me to buy it.
  23. I worked at P&WA when they still had wood block floors. 2x4 wooden blocks set it grain side vertical, soaked with creosote. Much nicer on the feet & parts than concrete. Now with a lights out shop it doesn't matter.
  24. Penalties? What's going on? If you aren't Lotus you don't get penalized? Fiascoes in the pit lane including a crash that caused damage and not a single penalty? Contact on track no penalty? Shame on you FAI.
  25. Ordered.
