    LOG 29

Look at the site http://www.log29.com/ for forms... some of the information is buried in prose but it is there. "We will check your helmet (auto or motorcycle ok but must be a 95 or later)" Email the coordinator with specific questions.

    LOG 29

Our current plans are to leave LOG on Tuesday morning and head to either Tapco Lodge or Fontana Village. Anyone else interested? A small group is forming. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f220/tail-dragon-after-log-29-june-1-2-a-71601/
  3. Usually my wife can't get out of a Se7en by herself. Her shoulders don't allow her to get the initial lift. At the tail of the dragon I looked up and she had two guys lifting her out of the Nissan engined Se7en after the owner had been nice enough to give her a ride. She once got trapped in a Lotus Esprit after getting ride around Road Atlanta. In that case the door latch mechanism failed. I notice a difference now that I gained back the 30 pounds I had lost.

    LOG 29

From the posts I have been able to see 20 people who are active on the forum will be attending LOG 29. Many will be have their significant other... in attendance. Looking good. Al Navarro, monster? bball7754 BobDrye Boxologist, "Snake Bit" 7 SV breezy7 DeanG, 1958 Lotus Seven series 1 Flibbie, Stalker Hudson, VX7 Ian7 pksurveyor powderbrake, Ultralite S2K rich, RDROCKT, Ultralinte S2K & XR7 S1Steve, S1 scannon, slngsht solder_guy, Toyota Rotus Seven sparecr, 78 Caterham Twin Cam Taber10, 2007 Caterham 7 SV yellowss7, 2000 Superlight #123
  6. solder_guy; I expect that you will have a nice system. I have similar had Lucas wipers on 2 cars and the secrets are: fresh grease, clean electrical connections and a straight tube. It looks like you will have all three. When I had problems with my 77 MGB daily driver they were either caused by the above or the arm disengaging from the splines. Odd how 20 year old grease and electrical connections can cause problems.

    Driving roads

I have had reasonably good luck with http://www.byways.org/ I see an interesting road near this year's LOG http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2057/travel.html
  8. That's the weight of two Se7ens! Are you packing a spare car? Did someone convince you to use those high tech lead filled frame tubes? Inquiring minds want to know.
  9. Dam you WireWheel.com!!! Always such interesting cars. I need to hit the lottery.
  10. Congradulations your car may have plates but my dog has fleas.

Are there any updates concerning the USA7s events?
  12. Very nice, I've been lusting after this car for a while. The trouble is there are too many lust worthy cars for sale and I have too little money.

Good man. Thanks. That gives people options.
  14. Some weird stuff in the engine compartment of the Elan.

The best seats get reserved quickly. If you want a Se7ens table get a list of names for those who want to sit together then have someone get to registration as early as possible and sign up for a table. All the Lotus Ltd board members will be assigned to a table in an attempt to get us meet new people. So my seat at the banquette is up to the LOG organizers
  16. For me, watching the front suspension and wheels move is a great part of the fun of a Se7en. It helps me dream of F1 in the 60s.

Yes it is! The hotel is attached to a large shopping mall so there will be the typical mall food. I tasted my first and only Chick-fil-A at LOG 24. If you want to eat well and inexpensively consider the picnic option. If someone who is driving a more spacious (like a Landcruiser - hint hint) volunteered, a USA7s picnic committee could be formed. Birmingham BBQ, yum! We signed up for all the meals. It is very convenient for what will be an extremely busy schedule for us. We will only have to scrounge for breakfast on a recurring basis. Much of the planning for dining is ad hoc. There will definitely be groups forming for Monday night dinner. Our plans are still unsettled. We may arrive in Birmingham as early Tuesday as we still haven't seen most of the tourist sites.

    LOG 29

From the posts I have been able to see 19 folks have committed to LOG 29. Not a bad number of early birds. Al Navarro, monster? bball7754 BobDrye Boxologist, "Snake Bit" 7 SV breezy7 DeanG, 1958 Lotus Seven series 1 Flibbie, Stalker Hudson, VX7 Ian7 powderbrake, Ultralite S2K rich, RDROCKT, Ultralinte S2K & XR7 S1Steve, S1 scannon, slngsht solder_guy, Toyota Rotus Seven sparecr, 78 Caterham Twin Cam Taber10, 2007 Caterham 7 SV yellowss7, 2000 Superlight #123 As I believe I posted earlier we (my wife and I) will be at just about every event from the go-cart through track. We look forward to seeing many of the people from the Dragon there.

    Skinless 7

I believe I looked at the car 3 or 4 years ago. If this is the same car it was Fiat based. Many of the parts that were on it are now gone. It looks rougher than I remember. That is what a few years outside will do for a frame.

Mick; If nobody gives you a better offer you can drive our series 1. Do you care if it is RHD?

    Not too shabby

Lotus: XI, 18, 51 yum. I need a big lotto hit!
  23. Cool. Now what we need are solid models of the Lotus Seven S1, S2, S3, Caterham, Birkin and Lotus XI frames so we can compare them:lol:
  24. Ohhhhh, Westfield 11. That is a car that is near the top of my want it list. If I had the extra cash and some more garage space I would be tempted to go looking for one.
  25. I spent a delightful couple of hours following the NZ links. I especially liked www.trademe.co.nz where there are lots of interesting things being flogged.
