Yes they can. Kit and roller chassis orders seem to be backlogged until late 2018 fulfillment but a Caterham dealer can inform you on that detail.

Gday Beagle - 6'2" and 275lb? Not a problem. I have squeezed a 6'8" 300lb+ guy into a Caterham. I also squeezed a 350lb 5'11 guy into a Caterham. You can do amazing things with our little cars if you put your mind to it. They also handle well! :jester: Find someone local to you to have a trial fit. This is not the first time a question identical to yours has come up. Separately, one small interest item to check is whether it is one of the last Arch Motors chassis or the newer brazed chassis. The changeover period was around 1992. Check around base of roll bar where it meets rear suspension upright on the right hand passenger side (assuming this is a LHD car). Arch used to stamp their production chassis there with their ID.

Relax Shane - I know its the wrong season to be selling a car - you only buy if the seller is desperate and discounting and I am neither. At any rate, the buyer will be a person who really wants an SV chassis and this is the 3rd cheapest that has ever been for sale that I observed since 2009 - the other two were, respectively, a salvage title car and another CA car that needed maintenance work. If someone does not need an SV then this is not the car for them since there are some tasty bargains regularly appearing in the Caterham S3 chassis line up. I will drop price if I see other comparable cars at lower prices - I have not so far. At any rate I have my other basket cases to crack on with fixing. A wet weekend is here and Ebay/Racecarsdirect.com/Google will be my best website friends in sourcing parts I need to track down.

I did a search by "2002 Superformance" and pulled up a few S1s but not your one in question. However, there is a search hit within the Ebay/Craigslist thread in the For Sale forum but at 1524 posts I cannot work out how to zoom to just that post? I did find the S1 manual in case you are interested: http://www.gmsr.info/pre2007/S1_Manual.pdf However, on a 2009 thread I found reference to an S1 Forum, however the website is defunct. The poster was S1Steve who is a very long term owner and still around, just not frequent on these forums. I just pinged him a text to ask him to check on this thread in case he has any data. You may want to see if Superformance can provide you any history. They have a phone number - just not that good at returning calls.

And a number of wives/girlfriends/significant squeezes/whatever have ended up on the karting track faster than their husbands or taken out the seven for a driving session on their own in the novice group. They always come back with a big smile! This year will have some additional entertainment for partners built in. As we are on Thunderbolt, the Garage Mahal viewing platform and airconditioned loft entertainment space is available overlooking the back third of that circuit. As experienced hands know, that is where ALL the action happens on track, right in front of the peanut gallery at my garage, as everyone gets the Devil corner series screwed up at least once during the day. Spectators will perform public safety duties by pointing Kitcat the right direction to get back on track.
