  1. Just curious if anyone has tried a nitrous set up on their 7? You'd get extra hp w/ a button push for the straight w/o dealing w/ turbo packaging and heat issues. Or anyone w a turbo set up running alcohol?
  2. So which wheels did you get? How do you like the Yokohama A539?
  3. Can't you just buy a large carbon fiber sheet and cut to size? Did a quick google search and got this site. They also sell Trusses, all carbon 7?
  4. Thanks for the tips. I plan on using the connectors on a truck project too. I bought the bigger kit because shipping to alaska is nickle and diming me to death.
  5. I'm redoing my turn signals (updating to newer caterham model) and decided to replace the connector to something that seals better. It looks like whoever built my 7 forgot to put in the seals on one half of the connector. They also spliced in the turn signals and it was already showing signs of corrosion. So I ended up getting a 460 pc weather pack kit from diyautotune thru amazon.com. Just fyi for anyone doing wiring (or in my case rewiring) and looking for weatherproof connectors. They sell kits in different sizes and also megasquirt kits too. One of the few places I found where you didn't have to buy bulk.
  6. Could be a bad/sticky relay. Try swapping around relays to see if it makes a difference. I've had a wiper switch and brake light switch go bad on road trips. Ended up opening them w a pocket knife and cleaning carbon on the contact points.
  7. He's a link of a bike spring compressor that might work, a bit pricy. I recommend using proper tools. I've used a sub standard spring compressor on a dodge caravan when I was an auto mechanic. Getting hit in the face w a spring isn't a pleasant experience, even a glancing blow off of safety glasses.
  8. Terry, Just curious but how much does the ride height change from the downforce at top speed?
  9. Just recieved the calendar. Looks great and the shipping was quick (tho I'm probably the closest to Alaskaossie). Just need to find a place to display it. Thanks.
  10. Thanks for the vid post. That crack in to road really caught the Seven off guard.
  11. Amazing what they can do w/ a GT-R powertrain in a juke. Here's a link for some info on the car.
  12. If my wallet can handle the price, I'd like to get 5 tires.
  13. Try using an impact driver on it. Should be able to rent/buy one from a local parts store. Might also give a product like Loctite freeze and release a try.
  14. Bump. Any updates on the tire cost and shipment eta?
  15. Probably asking about the term "filming" since its mostly digital now and rarely film. I was amazed on how high they were lifting that 7 and how that guy stayed near it when lifting the 2nd time.
  16. It'll probably fit on the head fine. Its the belt tensioner bracket uses a bolt hole on the side where the water rail is supposed to be. I don't want to go thru the hassle of finding/fabricating a new bracket that works w/ the water rail when I'm missing the thermostat housing anyways. Maybe someone who made it work will make a post.
  17. I have a raceline water rail that won't fit on my svt zetec, but will fit on a regular zetec. The only part that is missing is the thermostat housing. I didn't realize it was a seperate piece until my order arrived. PM if interested. I'll sell it for what I paid minus the uk shipping.
  18. Neat tip. Might want to cover up the button snaps if you plan on using the top.
  19. Well I'm interested in a set of 195/45r15. PM me when you have the pricing figured out. Do you have an ETA on when you will have the tires? Also what do you have over there for shipping? I couldn't get a quote thru fedex or ups. I'd have to call them but need details on the weights and dimensions. Forgot to add that I'm looking for minlite style wheels that have the proper offset.
  20. I guess I should add that it was insured as a 04 Caterham w/ no limitations. I drove it to work and 2 roadtrips (4k miles and 1.5k miles). So you might be able to lower the costs w/ mileage restrictions.
  21. My 04 Caterham is insured by Safeco Ins under my dad's policy. I paid $685 for 6 months, full coverage for $36k value. I have it in my garage right now waiting for coilovers and a 1st gear swap so its coverage is suspended until April. Its a multi car policy (5 cars) and also have house insurance w/ them.
  22. +1 on the sizes. I don't supposed you'd be able to do any wheel/tire packages?
  23. Thanks for sharing. Great vid. I like the helmet cam pov. Also surprised on the length of the hill climb.
  24. Other than clearance on the sides it should be pretty straightforward to install. The bottom cushion is removable and it exposed the seat frame and mounting points. Are you installing it w or wo the seat rails?
