  1. With my body configuration, the LS motor requires a scoop. The body panels received from Brunton needed some TLC. The rear fenders were different lengths. This was evident when I started measuring the tail lamp housings. One of the front wings had a 1" crack upon arrival and all of the pieces required quit a bit of sanding and shaping. Radiator fan is a puller and it is located on the engine side of the radiator.
  2. I am picking up my fenders and wings from the painter after work tomorrow. Once installed, I will post pics. After that, I'm pretty much on hold until I can get the paint cured and clear-bra installed.
  3. Hi Tom, I hadn't intended to relocate the coils, but ended up having to due to clearance reasons. The relocation ended up costing me about $300 because I had to purchase a coil relocation kit (ebay) and new wires (Summit). The stock valve covers looked like crap, so I picked up a set of sand cast aluminum valve covers from Speedway Motors (another $230). I really like them because they add a period look to the car. 4. I have finally been able to get some work done on my Stalker. It is nearing completion - I hope. Just started getting the fiberglass panels back from the paint shop - decided to go with Lotus Racing Green. http://i44.tinypic.com/2v9dcwj.jpg With a 430HP LS3 and gobs of torque, the car goes like stink. It handles and brakes well too. I need to figure out what's going on with the wheel hop off the line. No complaints. http://i43.tinypic.com/hwmxb6.jpg I just installed the bonnet to see what it would look like. I finished off an aluminum grille, but still need to cut it to fit. I have a new lexan windscreen that I will install after I get the car clear bra'd after the paint finishes curing. http://i40.tinypic.com/n69fkz.jpg The dash setup is pretty much complete, but looks cheap due to the craptastic dash that came with the kit. I intend to replace it with a genuine carbon fiber dash that I will lay up later this summer. I still need to put some carbon fiber panels on the interior, add quilted leather arm rests, and adjust the harnesses. http://i40.tinypic.com/2irn83.jpg
  5. Looking good! I really like the way your build is going. I have thought about putting a diffuser and front spoiler on my Stalker.
  6. That's such a great price for a nice looking Birkin!
  7. Very impressive! I wish that I had the skills and equipment to construct such parts.
  8. Shall I presume the Saleen Mustang lost?
  9. I am going to do my best to get my Stalker street legal by then.
  10. Hope you feel better soon! That's gotta hurt. I thought I had a kidney stone once, but it ended up being Shingles.
  11. I installed a stack ST8130 dash into my old Birkin. It's similar to the dash in the R500, but not as high-end. Installation was rather straight forward; however, calibrating the speedo and fuel level sensors took some time. http://i47.tinypic.com/o60m0h.jpg
  12. Stephen, I received my grille today - thank you!! Skip, 5 1/2 inches high X 5 3/4 inches wide Mike
  13. That would be nice. Hopefully, it will have the same Series III look.
  14. Tom, I hadn't heard of Oxted Trimming, but will check out their wares. I kept my Birkin and sold the Elise because after I broke my back mountain biking, I had a much easier and less painful time getting into the Birkin because I could grab the rollbar and slide down into the seat.
  15. I think these would be far more practical for daily usage in a Miata. With my Miata, I used to slide in and out butt first. That would be difficult to do with seats with hight side bolsters.
  16. Tom, I think they would fit nicely into a Miata. I will check with Skip to see if I could test fit one into his car and take a few photos for you. I purchased the seats from British Racing Group. Shipping to Colorado from the UK was $365.
  17. Wow! Perhaps one of these gems will be my next project. I cannot wait to see photos.
  18. Jack, 2" spacers on all 4 wheels. Bolt pattern on wheels is 5x100/5x114.3 Mike
  19. Got the seats; just need the mounting brackets (en-route). http://i45.tinypic.com/xoo46g.jpg
