  1. Hope you find a place!
  2. Hi Tom, Thanks for pointing out the article. This is my car so the build was about a year ago. I'll have to go find a copy. Karl
  3. Does anyone know if SCDA sends out a track package? I assume we can't all have the number 7!
  4. I'll be getting in on Friday for a warm up event with PCA at Thunder Bolt. I'll plan on moving my trailer (White with Caterham Racing logos on it) over to Lightning after the PCA event ends Sunday afternoon. I'll bring some beer! And, the Texas Roadhouse sounds good to me.
  5. I have a set of Tillett B2 seats just waiting for me in the attic once I get all skinny. They are very nice but narrow in the hips.
  6. Good point Tom... My DE instructor mentioned it. Thanks for the tip Ross. I had set it in as close as I could to cure the erratic behavior I started with.
  7. My speedo was acting erratically until I moved the sensor in closer on my rear wheel. The needle would bounce up and down and the odometer was under reading by 50-70%. Now the needle is working smoothly and the odometer seems OK, but when I get over 100 mph it just stops reading altogether and the needle drops to zero until I slow down. Any ideas?
  8. Hey, that's me at NJMP last weekend!!! Note the extra tall roll bar! Looks like I could have made it a little shorter.
  9. Tom, Wish I could make it. I was there last weekend and will be there the next weekend. Given that Saturday is my wedding anniversary I should not push my luck.
  10. I have not driven T-Bolt yet. I'll have an opinion in two weeks.
  11. I spent the weekend driving the Lightning course at NJMP with the Philly PCA group. Had a great time. I let the chief instructor take out the Caterham with the Black run group and it was fun to watch him kick the GT3's in the corners and keep right up on the straights!!! I drove like a grandmother most of the time though...
  12. Mike, I got a good deal (relatively speaking) on a prior year Featherlight Model 1610 in a 16 foot size. It is really a motorcycle trailer and is only 6'7" wide The rear door is a few inches smaller so it's a tight fit. The narrow size makes it possible to see around the trailer without extended mirrors. I did put in a small ATV winch, with a remote control, to pull the car in. Driving it into the trailer with only 1.5 inches on either side to spare was not easy... nor good for the clutch... I liked the Featherlight since it was all aluminum and not too heavy. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone for an 18 foot trailer to give me a little more "man cave" room. Karl http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG00118-20110514-1659.jpg
  13. Yes, that is just what I did. The Adobe Illustrator (.at)) files can be blown up since they are "vector" files. I just gave the files to a sign shop and they blew up a banner to 8 feet long. The files are on the way to you by email. http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG00119-20110514-1756.jpg
  14. I found these online and thought I'd share. The AI file formats don't seem to be supported ty the system, but let me know if you want them and I can send them by email. The AI files are easy to take to your local sign shop to have vinyl graphics printed. Karl caterham-logos.pdf
  15. Snell helmets have a year designation on them. If you get one for track days be sure to get a 2015 approved helmet so it will be good for another 10 years. (my bad, should have said 2010)
  16. Bert is the mechanic that did my Cosworth/Sadev install. He is top notch, and willing to figure things out.
  17. I'm a big fan of Radical on Rt. 17. Ask for Joe and tell him Karl sent you. They corner weighted my car and did a good job. Karl
  18. Tom, I am going down Friday night and driving with PCA Saturday and Sunday. So, I already have a room at the Wingate in Vineland. Thanks for thinking of me though... Karl
  19. Ron, Sorry the car won't be ready in time for the big event. We would love to have you there anyway. Karl
  20. I had a RHD Land Rover Series 80. I never tried to pass anyone, but it was sure easy to parallel park.
  21. You can always go with a stock trailer and have the fun of customizing it! The Featherlite is not too heavy so I get well over 11 mpg. http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG00118-20110514-1659.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG00119-20110514-1756.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMG956676.jpg
  22. Ron, you gotta be dying to get your car. Perhaps we should start an email campaign to Caterham UK urging Ben and Jon to burn the midnight oil. The biggest issue will be working out the timing of shipping. I used Straight Roads Transport (Gary) http://www.scottsdalecorvettes.com/Straightraods/straight_roads.htm. I'd check in with them fairly early in the process. Good Luck!!! Karl
  23. Sorry I spoke too soon. I'll be at NJMP with the Porsche Club for a track day. Anyone is welcome to join in there are still open slots. Karl
  24. I got the Nitron 3-ways and like them very much.
  25. I was at Pocono with Riesentoter (Philly) PCA this weekend. The track was a little wet due to heavy mist all weekend, but no standing water. I ran on CR500s and did not slide too much. The guys in this PCA region were very nice, none of the intensive competition you hear about. My instructor Ian Goddard (Marco Andretti's CART driving coach) drove for a few laps. It was fun to see what the car could really do.
