  1. congrats to u and Doc. I'll have one of lil miss NM High. apparently Hank is contagious.
  2. prisoners are 15x6.5, 108x4 iirc. any street tyre will be a find wet tyre, but the ra1/nt01/r888 w/ tread will do fine in teh wet. I know the r888 will because done Extra legal highway speeds in the pouring rain and they were fine. Thos etyres would have to be stored in winter though.
  3. last time I spoke w/ Graham, most everything was gone.
  4. effing Hank
  5. absolutely. I'm thinking about orange ribbons being trophies for next season. Save the cones!:jester:
  6. John- if ur driving to the event on the same wheels/tyres, 225 width toyo r888 or RA1. if u have been trailering the car, bumping to either the Hoosier (purple crack) or goodyear slicks will be very fun.
  7. FTD was probably there for teh taking on Saturday. ur late on the first few cones in the slalom. on both sides it looks like an easy second to be made up. Don't worry about gett around that cone that cone thats in front of you. If u got around teh cone behind u correctly, ur already around that next cone. Always be turned ealy in teh slaolm spacing. its all teh difference and makes them more fun.
  8. there's another LOG30 thread which MichealD posted some of his videos from the track.
  9. 1 email replied. not all the info I asked for was given. we'l get it one more go and see if a physical car location is forthcoming.
  10. can anyone help me check out a craigslist Miata in St Paul? it may be a hoax with its price and circumstance(deploying female GI, listed in NY, but not Mn craigslist). I'll have more info soon hopefully.
  11. First off, sit and drive as many different se7ens as possible. even inside the different makes, there tons of uniqueness from car to car. Then plan out ur desires. Then save. save some more. 1. If ur prepared to take a hit or modify ur purchase, a 20-25k starter se7en is the way to go. 2. U may find urself married talking that way.:dupe: 3. lose the pets idea unless u like trailering. I wouldn't be taking a passenger and a canine out in a miata or Z3/4, let alone a se7en. if touring in that fashion is neccessary, a 4 seater converible is a more viable solution. Think Toyota Solara, BMW 3 series, Audi A4. A se7en is minimalist to the maximum. This past weekend I was driving w/ a sleeping bag bungeed to the rollbar. And the weekend ONLY was autoX and work. If I wish to get away for a week I can load up my 7, and fit a good deal of crap into it, but there are plenty of sacrifices of what does not get taken compared to if I was going in my wagon.
  12. nice mike, nice
  13. drive to autoX, then an evening drive to a friend's house and then back home late. nearly all highwat miles, so not what a blat should be to me.
  14. Bruce is gonna half to hurry back to NJ so we can all meet this car.
  15. crap, and my diff didn't die. My ZF is supposed to actually be able to handle more power than the quaife units according to blatchat.
  16. not this year.
  17. A trip back down to Colorado... A metalsmith can get everything straightened like new, but the car was new, and is decidely not anymore. I don't remembre if there is a hoop at the front of the scuttle. If there is i would be only onsidering race shops that deal/build tube frame vehicles. Because its an insurance job where u should not be at fault, and it eassentiallly was the car's maiden voyage, I would have Caterham handle EVERYTHING. over the offseason.
  18. bolt probably became loose and then sheared out the threads on teh frame from all the launches.
  19. every photo in the sequence is label w/ the FS prefix. guess it wasn't altered from a previous batch upload. No appears it just needs a helicoil to be put in to frame side lower diff mounts. I should be driving again in time for saturday's nnjr event at teh meadowlands if its at one of the slippery lots.
  20. mod car blues. http://psccandnyrphotos.shutterfly.com/2701
  21. I'll be at work sunday. Gimme a call if ur back before i head home.
  22. Bryce - best of luck and god speed on teh trip!
  23. rather have the admins stay on top of the membership rolls and make sure that the dues are collected so the forum stays A-OK and the insurance for club events is still in place. that out of the way, i still have no clue if my membership is still valid...
