  2. yeah, that bimmer did seem to get confused on whether it wanted to actually particpate on a gravel rally stage. did u really run with the GPS in the car?
  3. buyers remorse already
  4. goodbye series 2:7fume:
  5. and the r500 does it on street tyres...
  6. $4.10ish for 87 today i paid 4.25 last weekend for 93 for the 7 (race gas:crazy: for low compression and a knock sensor) i honestly expect $6 before labor day. i was all set to send my aging subaru out for drivetrain swap before oil broke $110/barrel. now i'm waiting till late summer and skipping the new wide bodykit. fender roller for me!

reminds me to upload the rest of the drive with Orange. one of my cats just love to plop himself down in front screen. i usually hit him with the keyboard.
  9. 1200+ miles to Branson. another 150 to Tulsa. definitely a stop at the Dragon for a day or 2. minor league baseball in Springdale, Ar (just north of Fayetteville); Tulsa, Ok; and Springfield, Mo. 1 vote for AutoX half a vote for track day.
  10. just like goldfish, keep telling urself, "its going to a better place."
  11. u will header wrap that part of the steering as well?
  12. that 6-35mm has to be the disc width, not the diameter. i was contemplating getting the front 4 piston upgrade.
  13. ur now associating with other people with cars w/o doors. prognosis is not favorable:7frog: :ack:
  14. wow, that was u. didn't know that. u seemed smarter on the phone:jester:
  15. ~24-28 mpg mixed. autoX full throttle/grid idle, city, highway cruise 4000rpm. with Mazda's disclaimer of when the odo/speedometer was functioning. zx2 zetec, non carbed.
  16. oversimplified, the price is what ever someone will pay. There are few market subsets in the land of se7en ownership in north america. pick ur market. u can build little extras to cover some overlap with those consumers. If u are trying to compete with Caterham, Birkin, and Westfield, the R&D on performance, maintenance, and livability must be done. From last years ToTD and the posts that u guys have kept us semi up to date, its reliable, Ke7in has testified to its performance on the street, and i beleive u said that u wear making weathergear for the SR27. My biggest suggestion ties into the promotion of the car. articles and advertising only go so far. u want to get attention from the performance crowd, u must demonstrate the car at those events. Continue with attending Run n Gun and Ultimate Track Car Challenge. U may want to consider One Lap of America. thats a few events. take the ball that Caterham USA dropped (w/ the CSR) IMO, run the car at the SCCA Run Offs or Solo2 Nationals. Run in various NASA races. Display the car at the large car shows where old money walks. Lime Rock Historics weekend. The weekend Cars and Coffee shows. It will take a great while for word of mouth to bring up a new marquee to the level that Brunton and WCM have been able to acheive. but it will be another tireless endeavor that many of us think u will be successful in. if u can have a barebones stage 1 turnkey for about $40k, i think its feasable. slow growth, but similar performance from Caterham has a higher price. i forget what a FM Westfield will cost to start out.
  17. while i am everywhere, i was not there. finally got out to the NY region opener on sunday. started to prove u go faster by going slower. and my benchmark for this showed up with another $15k+ into his csp miata and A6s screwing my plans up to use him as guage and to beat him on street tyres. looks like its definitely time to order r888s. sorry to hijack Roman. i will be down to Philly whenever Martin flys back later in the year. i can't guarentee i'll be there at some other time, but Tom will know if that changes and the rest of teh Philly crew will panic and hide their equipment:jonautox: NYR i going thru a big change with an abrupt solo char resignation and now an interim solo chair. i'll probably even chair an event this season everything is so chaotic. edit: tom is correct. pictures can found from links on teh philly SCCA forum. i check in about twice a week because of how well the autoX series is run. i recomended our new worker cheif to look into preplanning teh volunteers in similar fashion. we gave him a good ribbing sunday on why he couldn't get one heat of 22 drivers to cover all the stations when the other group had 40+ people. absolute chaos:crazy: your in good hands Roman. have fun, stay safe, and set small goals which can reach to keep building up ur skills.
  18. whydon'chyafindoutandtellus. Morgan jumped in both feet. Hit up tony V. may be part of his vast knowledge.
